Bottle 330ml.

Clear dark black brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, beige to light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, wood, light leather. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark roasted, dark bitter chocolate, leather, brett. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20111126]

Bottled. A black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of roastexd malt, And soy sauce, The aroma has notew alcohol, straw, and roasted malt, leading to a dry finish.

From tap at MikkellerBar. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is toasted malty, spiced and light caramelish. Spiced, caramelish, pine and distinct bitterness. Mild herbal , dark malty and spiced flavoured. Lasting bitter and dry finish.

On tap. Pours black and opaque with a small and creamy light brown head. Coffee and sweet roast in the nose - with quite some alcohol showing already. Solid and rich body, with sweet and chewy roasted malts, both coffee and chocolate accents. Warming alcohol in the finish with some malt bitterness. Very delicious and harmonious. 121111

Bottled@PBF2011. Quite much pitch black colour, mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is liquorice, ashes, caramel and some herbal notes. Flavour is liquorice, ashes, some roasted notes.

Bottled at PBF. Pitch black, small head. Aroma of molasses and mild smoke. Sweet with full body and clean, hard, spritzy mouthfeel. Molsses, ash and salt. Mild resiny bitterness. Sharp and not that interesting.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar. Pitch black coloured with a small beige head. Roasted aroma of liquorice, hops and dark chocolate. Roasted flavour of liquorice, dark chocolate, hops and grass. Roasted and hoppy finish.

Draft @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and licorice aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and licorice flavor with bitter hoppy hints. Has a roasted malty chocolate and licorice finish.

Bottle @ Early Winter Gathering season 11/12, Ulfborg. Pours black with a small beige head and lacings. Liquorice and coffee roast. Smooth and slick. Burnt malts - a bit ashy. Really tasty stuff. Full bodied.

Black color, brownish head. Dusty aroma of roasted and burnt malt. Good body, with strong flavor of roasted malts, dark chocolate; a bit dusty, and with some salty liquorish. Not my kind, a bit too roasty, missing some alternative dimension.
