Deep, dark brown pour with mocha head. Sparse lace. Coffee and bitter chocolate aroma. Hints of booze. Sweet and roasty. Notes of coffee, chocolate, dough, and black cherry. Bitter coffee aftertase. Nice subdued alcohol warmth. A dandy.

liked this less than other stouts from this brewer - great complicated nose - roasted stuff, baker chocolate, and fudge! taste didn’t all come quite together..

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
From a 355ml bottle on 18/6/2016. Pours the deepest brown with a small tan head. The aroma is quite sharp and roasty with light caramel and some soy. In the mouth, it features masses of roasted malt, with some burnt notes, dark fruit, soy, and chocolate. The texture is syrupy and the carbonation soft. All up, it’s a more than decent, quite bold impy, without being special (like their Love You With My Stout that I downed the other night). Great name for a beer though.

Feb. ’16. A 0.355 l bottle. It poured very dark brown, almost black body with medium sized brown head. Fine coffee aroma, with other roasted malt like dried fruits, rye bread, cocoa and licorice. Lightly sweet flavor, cocoa was dominating with cappuccino, raisins and licorice turning into alcohol warming in the finish. Quite smooth on palate. Medium to full in body with long pleasantly roasted and lightly herbal dry finish. Clean, flawless, without any extravagant things, just a plainly typical, but very enjoyable IS!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home. Aroma is dark malt, cocoa, chocolate, fruity hops, roast, coffee, touch of liquorice. Flavour is moderate sweet with a nicely bitter finish. Body is medium to full. Surprisingly hoppy, Stout flavours seem a bit restrained at first, until you realize just how well-balanced and drinkable this beer is.
