Aroma of boozy black licorice. Taste of fruity notes and chocolate malts. Nice bitter finish that lingers on the tongue...

Bottle. Thick very dark liquid with minimal foam. Looks like strong black coffee. Oily. Full body, light carbonation. Medium bitterness, light sweetness, long finish. Full and roasty. Very good one.

Chocolate, roasted aroma, could have been more intense, but it’s very nice. Dried fruits in the background. Pours black with small head, but leaving a very nice lacing. Amazing taste, sweet, full of chocolate and roasty aftertaste. Rather low bitterness and low carbonation. Alcohol warms the throat, but it’s the only sign of beer’s abv (10%). Apart from the aroma, it’s amazing.

SPDickerman (941) - Texas, USA - AUG 27, 2014
Pours pitch black with a large brown head. Smells of bourbon, chocolate, roast, hints of licorice. Taste is bourbon sweetness, hints of vanilla, chocolate, and licorice. Full-bodied with a velvety texture and smooth mouth-carbonation, Evil Twin Christmas Eve at a New York City Hotel Room finishes with a lingering bourbon licorice flavor.

Flaska från SB med Naked Lunch in a Copenhagen...brygd hos Demolen. Kolsvart, lågt snabbt försvinnande skum. Söt, välrostad arom med choklad, fudge, sötlakrits. Relativt söt, hårt rostad, låg beska men lite träkol och torvbeska i eftersmaken skapar ändå en torr besk eftersmak. Känns nästan men inte riktigt som Demolenklass. Men riktigt gott ändå.

No carbonation what so ever, very smooth, understated, tastes like a dark chocolate bar, dark brown, very drinkable, can’t taste that its 10% at all so be very careful you could get very drunk on this very quickly. Bottle at bottle shop.

33 cl bottle. Pours thick black with medium, creamy, off white head. Coffee and brandy in aroma. Chocolate and vanilla in flavor. Nice long finish with aroma and flavor blending. An excellent IS expression! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour is black with a finger-wide dark tan head. Aroma of licorice, nutmeg, dark chocolate, and roasted malt. Flavor is similar with more hop presence in the body - cocoa, dark caramel, pine resin, cinnamon, and roast coffee. Good.

Countbeer (4392) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - JUL 6, 2014
Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Smaller sized brown head on top of a black colored beer. Aromas of malt roast, dough, brown sugars, dried leaves, some bay leaf, hint of caramel, light manure and mouthy funk. Flavour is a somewhat simple yet balanced and well executed tasty mix of malt roast, mocha, some light sticky tones, light bay leaf, light coffee, light caramel, hint of soy, some bitters, hint of something chocolate ish and some sprinkles of brown sugars. Aftertaste is a mix of bitters, roast, coffee, soke bay leaf and mocha. Low carbo, mouthfeel between watery and silky, fuller bodied and an oily ish texture. Nothing bad but nothing sublime. Just a well executed and tasty Imperial Stout!
