Butelka. Intensywny aromat czekolady i kawy, lekka wanilia. Wysycenie niskie do zera.

Tan foamy head 2 1/2 fingers in depth. Coca cola color and look to this beer. The aroma is chocolate, a coffee roastiness, caramel and hints of dark fruits. Medium mouthfeel, a little thinner then I was expecting. The taste is similar to the nose, but the flavors are much more muted. I’m also getting an anise flavor to this beer with a bitterness at the end. A nice stout overall but the flavor profile is not my really to my liking.

probstblueribbon (3239) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 3, 2015
12 oz bottle from BOTW (Rochester), served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Deep brown black with a decent mocha head. Aroma: All the rich aromas that one should expect from an Impy Stout...molasses, coffee, black chocolate, booze, slightly ashen/smoky, grape-like fruitiness, also a tangy fruitiness, faint licorice. Palate: Medium-full body, somewhat restrained carbonation. Flav.: Deep and rich, lots of dark chocolate, molasses, grape fruitiness, only very slightly smoky/ashen, black coffee, quite good; sweet with big bitterness and a long, mouth-coating finish of rich, dark malts.

Quite the name and quite the beer!
