Foam is nougat brown and poor, but since the strength is on the whole 10%, the rich foam are often rare. Clear strong aroma of dark chocolate and strong coffee. Sweet taste of dried fruits (prunes and raisins) and then a good and rich saturation of dark chocolate, where strong coffee notes knocking on in the background. The alcohol contributes vinous warm filling, and towards the end surpasses the taste to a beautiful mocha flavor that draws long pleasant and satisfying aftertaste. Carbonation is completely gone in this Imperial Stout, but when it is already packed with great flavors, even a slight tingling in the mouth caused by carbonation enough aggravate the good impression it holds. An absolutely well brewed Imperial stout, which is fine for the winter. Great applause from here.

The appearance is outstanding. A thick Beer that grows in sweetness as it goes along, it’s good but just not great for me. I don’t think I like imperial stouts as much as I used to

Pours jet black with a small light brown head which soon disappears. Aroma is figs, dates, red berries and slight smoked malts. Taste is smokey, slight burnt sugar, hint of tarty red berry with some mild cognac notes. Body is a little thin with an oily mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smell of oak, cough mixture. Black colour, very dark brown head. Aroma of oak, armagnac, some roasted malt. Medium sweet, also slightly bitter. Oily texture, flat carbon. Heavy body. Good but nonsurprising.

Blind RIS experiment [Sample 11 of 20, 4/23/2015] Poured by Summer. Dark with deep ruby highlights around edge; creamy khaki head with good retention. Initial aroma was strangely dusty (dust? yeah, dust). Also doughy (like chocolate chip cookie dough), some fruit, a little copper and roast, with noticeable alcohol upon a deep whiff. Bittersweet chocolate, with waves of dry roastiness and light sweetness. Lush and vinous. Mildly astringent. Full body with creamy texture, soft-to-average carbonation. Overall: hard for me to pin this one down. Some aspects seem like flaws (dust; copper; alcohol), but taken together on a whole it all kinda comes together and works. Very zen. Well, "very" is a stretch -- kinda zennish? Like the Cliffs notes to Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. More complex than some of these, and (after acclimating) a joy to drink. Unique. Feelin the booze -- ABV guess on this would be 10% or so.

Rating: 6/4/8/4/16
Guess: I’m thinking one I haven’t had -- isn’t roasty enough for Mikkeller or Evil Twin [edit: looks like I was wrong on that].
Would pay: $3ish. Sort of a special one, so in the mood I could go a little higher.

Pours pretty damn black, alright! No head mentionable. Smell is intense, roasted grainyness. Bit bitter chocolate. Taste is rather intense, bitter, chocolate( dark and pure ) as well as a mild coffee undertone. The taste is nice and long, over a less-thick-than-expected MF , and a very low carbo. Very nice indeed.

Negra opaca con trazas marrones. Carbonatación visible. Muy abundante espuma oscura, que aguanta bastante. Aroma ligero, tostado y a chocolate. Sabor de moderado a fuerte, a maltas tostadas y ahumadas. Recuerdos de chocolate. Moderado amargor. Suave. Cuerpo moderado. Alcohol bien oculto, aunque 10 grados difícilmente se esconden del todo.
