COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. Dark brown, large (after opening beer rushes out of the bottle) and mostly lasting light brown head. Moderate to heavy sweet malty aroma, roasted malt and lots of coffee, some vanilla. Body is medium to full, malty and sweet flavor, roasted malt and coffee, light vanilla and alcohol. Finish is average, malty and sweetish, light alcohol. Sweet IS with lots of coffee. Too sweet and too little hoppyness for my taste.

Bottle. Black beer with a big lasting brown head. Roasted aroma, a little smoked, salty, tar, cocoa, dark chocolate, some licorice and rather bitter hops. Hoppy roasted flavor, tar , salt, cocoa, dark chocolate. Really bitter. Long bitter tar finish.

330ml bottle from Bierkompass

Pours black with a massive foamy head. Tastes like a pretty generic De Molen imperial stout with a nice amount of hops and roastiness.

330 ml bottle.
Pours a pitch black colour with a large beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, burnt coffee and syrup. Flavour of strong roasted malts. hops, very sweet fruits, raisins and licorice. Full bodied, slick mouthfeel with a mouthdrying and burning alcohol finish. Needs aging I think as the alcohol comes through way too much.

Thanks to anders37 for this beer. Using google translate, the Danish description in English was given as: "Button up and enjoy a dark, massive and mysterious stout. Feel the creamy droplets float right out of your fingertips and warm you as lovely as grandma’s homemade blanket. Feel the good 10 percent alcohol soothe your mind, and suddenly transformed itself dark ages into something nice and mild." This was a gusher when I opened it, but I managed to salvage about half the 33cl bottle. It’s surprisingly light bodied, but has a definite alcohol afterglow. The aroma and nose have some bittersweet chocolate notes and roastiness

Bottle 330ml @ home
Pours black ruby red with a huge tan head. Aroma has notes of chocolate, coffee, leather, dark fruits and a little hops. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter and has a warming alcohol and coffee finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is fizzy.

Black with big and lasting brown head. Far too high carbonation sent it gushing out. Aroma is hard roasted malt, dusty, spicy and light hoppy. It has a dry and rather rough bitter finish with notes of alcohol. 120111

Bottle, 33 cl. Unreadable lable. Crown came off with an almost explosive force, and 1/4 of bottle gushed out. Too much carbonation!! Murky appearance. Aroma is nice dark roasted, chocolate, caramel, dark fruits, bit yeasty. Taste is more rough, good sweetnes and roasted/burnt but too yeasty.
