Aroma is coffee, molasses, espresso, fig and rich malt. Taste is a rich sweet maltiness that finishes with a fairly light maltiness. The beer pours with a beige creamy head that retains well.

Kort men god middels bitter ettersmak. Lite kullsyre.

Dark nearly black pour huge tall tan head. Flavor is slightly off hot hops and alcohol not very appealing. Avg palate. Flavor is blah. Not a fan.

On tap at Borefts BF 2012, Bodegraven. Pours oily black with a fine, beige cream head. Big peat nose, some rubber, burnt earth and wood. Big sweet flavor rife with rubbing alcohol, heavy peat, lots of hard alcohol, background roast. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Light warmth in the finish, astringent booze, moderate peat, dark sugars. The hard alcohol in here is harsh. Poorly balanced. Not especially pleasant.

Draught @ 4th Borefts Beer Festival 2012, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands.

Clear dark brown black colour with a average to large, creamy - frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, alcohol, whisky - whisky and whisky. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long long duration, chocolate, dark malt, whisky - whisky and whisky. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. IMO. not balance at all - way to much whisky ! [20120929]

The head is medium, the body black. The taste is coffee, cacao intensive, a bit whisky, then more intensive whisky, maybe a bit to intensive. Overall good 10/11/10/11/11/10

Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2012. Pours a pitch black beer with a chocolate head. The aroma is malt, roasted, alcohol, whisky and chocolate. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness with alcoholwarmth. Overall a good beer with a lot of whisky.
