Bottle. Very elegant beer. The hops and the qualities of the chardonnnay wine fits perfectly together. It actually reminds me of a sweet and crisp riesling wine.

Hazy amber orange pour lots of rocky off white head ... this was very carbonated ... aroma is of caramel malts and some resiny hop, earthy and a little fruity ... taste is earthy with sweet chewy caramel malts, little sweet and fruity chardonnay barrel detected with a bitter hop that flowed into the finish ... the abv is hidden well but this beer is way overpriced and nothing special

Aroma is the thing that stands out about this brew. Very nice. I don’t think I was prepared for how different the taste is from the aroma. The taste is a bit bitter with some elements of smoke and citrus with grape (hence the wine that it is blended in). The finish is fairly dry with only a touch of stickyness and some lingering grape flavor. Overall not bad but not one I would seek out again.

33cl bottle. Large, rocky off-white head atop cloudy dark amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, grape, grapefruit, bread. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit/grape, light bread, sour. Soft medium-full body.

Bottle. Pretty agressive beer. High fluffy and long lasting white head. Hazy orange brown bodyl Sweet oranges lemon grass aroma. Dry hoppy fruity grassy flavor with low cafrbonation with sweet notes that I guess originates from the wine. High carbonation, long bitter and dry aftertaste with just a hint of the alcohol. Would not have guessed on 10% and would also not have guessed that it contains white wine.

Pours deep murky copper with huge frothy off white head. Sure hope this $13 11.2oz bottle of beer is going to be good. The aroma is tart citrus hops, lemon and really little else. The taste has really no infection components to it but is on the odd side for the style for sure with earthy bitter hops oddly mixing with oak notes. To midway and into the finish a bit of sweet citrus hop notes join in too. Hmm. Interesting flavor but a bit disappointing for the insane cost. I sure won’t buy another one.

12oz bottle poured into Founders snifter. Dark amber color, big fluffy head. Actually turned out to be a gusher, not too bad though. Hoppy malty aroma Sweet flavor with a big malt presence. Would like some more citrus in the aroma/flavor.

Bottle from Skjold Burne. Huge head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are hops, caramel, peach, citrus and malt.

11.2oz bottle from State Line. Look out, High Life! Dark orange pour, frothy and thick, one of those seriously sedimental, bottle-conditioned looking mugs. Nose is pungent white grape and oak, almost like a confection atop the base, which is sharp grassy malts. Nice mouthfeel indeed, very creamy and a touch of heat on the finish. Flavors are slightly disjointed to me, with heat blast overcoming what tastes like too little actual hop complexity, and an overly assertive malt presence to boot. Dig the white wine bits, and that forgiveth a multitude of sins, but overall it was just okay to me, dog.
