Bottled. Orange coloured. Huge beige head. ARoma of sweetness, flowers, light pine, light alcohol, vague caramel. Flavour is quite alcoholdense. Flowers and caramel notable. A vague woodyness. I imagine, that I can taste some chardonnay. Medium to full bodied. Has a quite dry and light sour bitterness in the end. INteresting.

Pours deep foamy brown into a snifter. Off-white head fills one glass and continues to stream out of bottle so need a second glass. Sweet caramel and resin aromas. Sweet caramel, grape skin and grass upfront turning to resin in the lasting hot finish.

RBSG. Hazy red amber with thick white head. Earth, pine, citrus, caramel. Flavor is quite bitter at first--grapefruit, earth, a little butter detected, slightly sweet finish. Pretty typical euro double ipa.

Thanks to IBrew2or3 for the share. Pours hazy orange-amber with a huge off-white head. Nose is malt, orange, citrus pith, with some citrus flesh, and big grapefruit bitterness. Flavor is similar with sweet malt, and syrupy orange flesh. A bit thicker than the average IIPA in mouthfeel.

Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 8, 2011
Dark coppery colored, little yellow head. Rich hopped aroma with dry, slight white wine grape tone with this sour cranberry, dry and bitter hops here with pine. Medium bodied. Flavor is more sweet with pine dominating, thin yeast with flowers and grass. Aftertaste is well hopped, slightly soapy and grassy.

Aroma is firm and hoppy with a yeasty undertone and a citrus hint. The sample I got fizzed like nobody’s business, so be careful if you have this in a bottle! It pours a hazy dark honey-golden that is barely translucent and has a thick, frothy, rather persistent light golden tan head. Flavor is decently hoppy with a firm touch of evergreen, a subtle citrus undertone that mainly grapefruit plus a little sour orange, and a whisper of sweetness. Finish is hoppy, a little fruity and just slightly bitter. Texture is quite fizzy and lively, leaving a nice tingle. OK, maybe on the overpriced side, but still a more than adequate Imperial IPA.

5000 (6300) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JUN 3, 2011
Bottle:   Caramel, a little dirty and very hazy, huge sudsy sandy head, spotty lacing.   Sweet pine and hops on the nose, slightly sweet citrus peel too.   Faint white grape juice.   Dull hops, heavy, body is moderate, some barrel characters, white wine on the exit.   Interesting beer.   Has a bit of a powdery sweetness.   Hops aren’t biting at all.   Body and mouthfeel are smooth, yet fairly moderate.   The 10% ABV seems well hidden.   A little spritzy on the tongue.   It has this bright mustiness that comes right up front, but goes away quickly.   Interesting take on the style.
