Pours a very murky light brown with 4 finger head with long lingering head. Poured over when cap popped. Very heavy lacing. Aroma initially of grapfruit hops before drinking. Flavors include molasses, caramel, toasted and roasted malt, grapefruit, hint of dark fruit. Full body, long, moderately bitter finish. This is good. Strong, but good.

Apparently brewed @ De Molen – interesting, one of the better De Molen beers I have had recently.
Very dark amber amber appearance with a big creamy beige head.
Nose is big on USA grapefruit, very sticky & bitter pine resin, light caramel touch at the back.
Taste is strong bitter herbs mixed with sticky strongly bitter pine resin, grapefruit jam and lots of caramel, toffee & herbal sweetness, bitter grass in the back, light syrup.
Thick, creamy body.
All the subtlety of the average Evil Twin beer and De Molen for that matter, slightly odd and atypical but highly enjoyable IIPA. Nice.

Ridiculously big frothy head could be used for foam-party, slightly hazy, orange. Head dampens aromas bit, malty sweet with dark bread and caramel, bit fruit. Nice palate, round, bit crisp carbonation, malty sweet, tasty long malty finish, bit spice kick. Nice one, great feel and body, good flavors, nuanced and tasty.

Pours a cloudy amber with an orange tinge and huge soapy off white head leaving ng lace up the glass. Aroma is pale malts, citrus, floral, and spicy. Flavour is citrus, medium spicy bitterness, bready, and some alcohol warming. I’d like to know the hop schedule and techniques used on this one to make such a smooth double ipa. Also the high carbonation really works for this one.

Pours a hazy amber color with a big bubbly head that lasts the duration of the beer. Aroma of citrus, spicy yeast, bready malts and light floral notes. Taste is citrus hops, sweet bready malts with a nice complex hop bitterness and alcohol warming that blends together exceptionally well due to the big carbonation. Excellent imperial ipa that is nice and dry on the finish.

Bottle. So Blue Moon Vintage vs Evil Twin Disco Beer-- who makes a better "chardonnay beer" marriage? Well, it isn’t even a fair fight. Aside from ridiculous overcarbonation problems (which all Evil Twin beers seem to have), this beer is really terrific. The sweet grapey wine character is unmistakable, and supported nicely by the right balance of malt and hops. A light plastic phenol was found late, but did not ruin the overall pleasure of this beer (that is, once it finally settled down enough to drink).

Done from memory. Drank this at a bar last night. 12 oz bottle poured into a goblet. Poured a slightly hazy dark gold. Very highly carbonated. Smelled of pine and citrus. Tasted vinous, strong pine and citrus. Caramel sweetness and chewy texture. Good beer.

Ridiculously huge head. Pretty, but hard to pour. Very high alcohol resulting in a very dry beer. Caramel and citrus. A big beer with big alcohol. And it has a great name. I’d drink more of this and I’ll be looking for more from this brewery.

33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Pours clear deep amber with a huge off-white head. Slightly vinous aroma with hops, malt, caramel, fruits, alcohol and notes of wood. Complex and quite different, but nice and well balanced. Sweet, but well balanced with some acidity and a mild bitterness. Gives me some associations to dessert wine, but the finish is quite dry. Alcohol is well integrated, body is medium to full and carbonation is lively. A refreshingly different beer, but I like it!
