draught@Erzbierschof Winterthur - gently hazy blond beer with a little white foam left; a decent herbal hoppiness, a good malt backbone, pretty sweet and rounded; assertive and with a subtle carbonation; a decent bitterness, some residual sweetness and long herbal hoppy tones with hints of almonds

Keg at Craft Brixton. Have to say I was surprised by the low scores received by this one, although I know a lot of people seem to have it in for pilseners in general. Or maybe they improved the recipe. Or maybe I’m mad. Anyway, quite full coloured with an amber hue, dark for a pilsener, and not too carbonated. Nice white head. More in the rich Czech mould than the austere German, with a nice full floral hop character, some creamy maybe even toffee and a pleasant bitter finish. Aftertaste lingers. Good pilsener.

On tap at Crowbar. Golden slightly hazy color, good foam. Good hoppy aromas, high for pilsener- grapefruit , tropical aromas , slight resin notes. Good fruitiness . Medium body & complexity. Solid bitterness & good balance. Enjoyable

Bottle@Japalo brewery. One finger foam. Yellow clear. Exotic fruity notes. Quite bitter. Some hidden sweetness as well. Fine fresh brew.

Keg at Craft Clerkenwell. Hazy amber beer, tidy off white head. Palate is slightly soft with fine minerally carbonation. Creamy malt. Reasonble hops - tangy orange, medium bitter. Sweet malt towards the semi dry finish. Not bad - just a bit soft and stodgy for a Pilsner is that is what this is supposed to be.

On tap at Crowbar. Slightly hazy golden with a small, white head. Surprisingly fruity aroma with notes of citrus, yeast, malt and hints of spices. Moderate sweet with a quite dry and bitter finish. Nice one!

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Heavy, heavy tangerine aroma, interesting, with a whiff of tartness. Medium body, again sweet tangerine and oranges with a solid bitterness. Doesn’t appear completely spot on, yet somewhat intriguing. 140313

Bottle from Mikkeller & Friends. Pours clear weak golden with a big creamy white head.Aroma of grainy malts, grassy hops. Taste is more bitter and hoppy, underneath a mild sweet malty body, there is citrussy and grassy hops, short lived taste ,ordinary beer.
