COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

In short: A clean and refreshing fruity (mostly citrusy) blond IPA
How: Tap at Gaasa, Oslo Norway
The look: Clear blond body topped by a small white head
In long: Nose is medium-intensity with sharp citrusy hops (mostly oranges) and some pineapples in the back. Taste is lightly toasted cereals, a bit of honey, orange flesh, sweet canned fruits, bitter grapefruits, pineapples. This is a very refreshing clean beer, the hops jumps out of the glass but the bitterness is never aggressive. Nothing original about this beer, this is the blueprint of the fruity session blond APA, a very good example of this style. That Hipster Ale is indeed pretty cool, unlike me, I’m soooo not hip and I should just go back home to drink a glass of organic Estonian vodka and listen to a Serge Gainsbourg album on vinyl.

Even from a keg taste very similar than a cask beer. Almost nothing of malt taste. Lots of american hops, very aromatic.

Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Slightly hazy deep body, small white head. Nose is grassy caramel tones with loads of thick, buttery diacetyl. Wrong. Taste is harsh grassy astringent, near-medicinal bitter tones with buttery wet paper notes in the back. Failbottle, hopefully not failbatch. Will re-rate if I have the chance.

Golden orange relatively clear. Aroma of bitterscotch with hints of floralness in the back. Bitter and astringent, not very nice at all.. maybe a bad bottle or something because the butterscotch is way to high.

From tap at Gaasa, july 28th 2012. Light hazy golden in color, white frothy head. Fresh hoppy aroma of pine, grapefruit and peach. Taste of grapefruit, peach, crystal malt, good balanced. Good bitterness and a dry hoppy finish.
