3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours brown with almost no head. Aromas of dark malt, English toffee and dried fruit. Same aromas in the mouth, together with some barnyard funkiness and sour fun. Some brown banana notes. Nice balancing sourness on the tail end. Delish - would be even better with a bit more concentration.

It poured a red/mahogany color with a small off-white head. The aroma was of sweet molasses, some light oak, bourbon and dark fruits. The taste was of wood, sweet fruits, some light vinegar and sweet belgian sugars. Very nice.

Hazy dark red - brown beer, little tan head. Light palate, crispy and semi dry. Mild minerals. Pleasantly mild red wine sourness. Touch of red berry fruits. Touch of malt sweetness underneath. Finishes semi dry and tangy. Very winey this beer and very nice! Super drinkable.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours cloudy hazel brown with a medium tan fizzy head that dissipates quickly leaving good lacing. Aroma is quite strong wine barrel, tart cherry, molasses. Flavor is the same, medium sweet, lightly tart, woody, tannic, vinous. Full body, creamy mouthfeel, light carbonation. A bit hot. Pretty tasty.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from state line liquors. Pours brown with an inch of brown foam which quickly disappears. Nose is of sugar and red wine. Bigger wine notes on the tounge. Has a bit of tartness as well. Doesn’t make much effort to hide its alcohol. Solid!

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Oh my! I haven’t tasted one like this since Grey Parrot brewing Alt Bier. This is special. Tastes like a wild sour barrel alt bier. If I have to knock it I’ll say it is a touch sweet. If I tasted it with my eyes closed I would swear it was from Cascade Brewing. Cloudy brown beer no head. Wild sour yeast is the centerpiece of this beer. Wine and barrel. Grapes. Rustic. delicious. A Jordanesque beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at home. The colour is hazy deep dark mahogny with a small light brown head. Well carbonated. Powerful aroma of dried fruit, oak, red currants, alcohol, heather, dark berries and rubber. Pretty comlex. The flavour is more fruity with a touch of wine grapes, and is a bit dry in the end with solid touch of alcohol and wood. Has a rich and slick mouth feel, and a light berry bitterness. A wonderful complex and interesting beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330 ml bottle.
Pours a dark amber brown colour with a white head. Aroma of sweet caramel, nuts and some sourness. Flavour of caramel, nuts, sour berries, wood, tannine and some herbal notes. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a dry, sour, woody finish. Finishes sour, woody and light sweet. Much better than to non-barrel aged version.
