COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Much has been said about the Danes. Like they seem reserved at first and are obsessed with bikes, food, and ’hygge’ - Danes are always on time, they appear liberal yet traditional and leave their babies outside in prams while they shop. We at Evil Twin Brewing teamed up with fellow Dane at Chocopologie and decided to set the story straight with a Chocolate Stout infused with smoked chestnuts and even more Denmark. The punctual aromas, comfortable taste and liberating body will make you feel like one of the happiest people on earth.

Bottle from Whole Foods Tribeca location, 12/19/2013. Pours jet black, creamy light tan head rests on the surface, decent lacing around the glass. Aroma is nutty roast, mild smoke with rich earthy dark chocolate, hint of dark fruits, powdered chocolate. Taste is dark chocolate, mild sweetness , cocoa blending with deep roast in a long bitter finish. Medium, silky body, smooth. Nice.

Bottle from Bowery Whole Foods. Pours an espresso-y shade of brown with effervescent tan head that quickly subsides. Aroma is bacon-y smoke, miso, bitter chocolate, porcini mushroom. Straightforward, bold, and pleasant. Taste is melted Valrhona chocolate, chocolate-covered cherry, espresso, prunes, and mouth-drying bitterness. Body is slightly light. Very good.

Bottled. A black beer with with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, roasted malt, alcohol, an droasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, dark chocolate, roasted malt, and a bit of vanilla, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle sample at RBWG. Pours a dark brown to black in color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, chocolate, some earthy and mineral notes. A slight nutty character. This is my least favorite of the Even More beers from these guys.

Bottle shared at RBWG. Pours a deep brown with a small beige ring for a head. Notes of roasted malts, dark chocolate, toasted nuts, tobacco, earth, and a bit of earth. Medium-full bodied, with moderate carbonation and a rich, robust mouthfeel. Decent imperial stout.

>> Ink pour with mocha foam. Nose is rich dark chocolate bar, melted down Almond Joy, cocoa nibs, powerful insane chocolate, decadent. Taste is roasty, bitter unsweetened chocolate bar, crunchy cocoa nibs, fully decadent. Essentially melted chocolate the beer. Can dig this one. Not too sweet. Like ST Choklat done correctly.

dark sepia, murky tan ring. heavy roast nose, light chocolate, moderate paint thinner heat. More heat in flavor, with chocolate rule front palate, bit of paper, thin and sticky through the sugary end.

Bottle at the RBWG 2014 grand tasting, thanks! Pours a dark brown with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a bit of smokiness with dark grains and dark fruits. Flavor has a bit of smoke, roasted malts, dark grains and a hint of nuttiness.

RBWG Winter Gathering, Asheville, courtesy of someone. Pours a black color with white head. Roasty, chocolate, cardboard flavors. Eh, a bit of age.
