COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Much has been said about the Danes. Like they seem reserved at first and are obsessed with bikes, food, and ’hygge’ - Danes are always on time, they appear liberal yet traditional and leave their babies outside in prams while they shop. We at Evil Twin Brewing teamed up with fellow Dane at Chocopologie and decided to set the story straight with a Chocolate Stout infused with smoked chestnuts and even more Denmark. The punctual aromas, comfortable taste and liberating body will make you feel like one of the happiest people on earth.

Bottle from Whole Foods Tribeca location, 12/19/2013. Pours jet black, creamy light tan head rests on the surface, decent lacing around the glass. Aroma is nutty roast, mild smoke with rich earthy dark chocolate, hint of dark fruits, powdered chocolate. Taste is dark chocolate, mild sweetness , cocoa blending with deep roast in a long bitter finish. Medium, silky body, smooth. Nice.

Pour on tap at Busters on 28th, dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of cocoa, roast, nuts, some vanilla into a bit of coffee, ash, slight anise. Taste was a mix of dark chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, roast, nuts into some ash, more hazelnut, finishing slightly sweet, slightly bitter.

On Draught
Pours black with a nice espresso swirl head that manages a bit of lacing on the glass.

The worm aid somewhat floral, slightly sweet, with a nice coffee character. It’s almost smells like coffee with cream at some points. It’s got some rye bread and maybe some cardamom.

The flavor is really pretty dry for an imperial stout. It’s got some cocoa powder and a nice coffee character. It hints at sweetness at times and does have a good chocolate character.

A totally unique imperial stout on all accords.

Keg at Mother Kelly’s, London. It pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. Aroma is citrusy, hoppy, fruity, zesty, with notes of grapefruit skin, herbs, grass, sea salt. Taste is lightly bitter and sweet fruity, with notes of ripe mango, grapefruit, herbs, grass. Finishes dry and quite bitter. Overall, a nice IPA

2014. Pours a hazy orange with rocky head. Nose is musty ipa, a bit of floral hops, dank. Taste matches, a hoppy, dank, dries out, maybe there's some cocoa on the finish. Theres a vegetal/planty thing going on in the taste. This is a good ipa, but the cocoa vegetal note I don't love.

Bottle from a trade with KornWallace, thanks! Pours a deep opaque black with a layer of brown foam on top, a brown head forms whens pouring but disappears. Aroma is chocolate, coffee and roast malt. Taste is chocolate which leads on to a chocolate bitterness with a coffee/roast malt finish. Body is a bit thin but otherwise an awesome chocolate-y beer.
