4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap at Torst.. Pours a thick jet black with a 1 finger dark brown head. Nose is fruitier/sweeter than the Even More with pronouced raisin, oat, boozy aroma. Some vanilla and coffee. Tastes like burnt dark fruit and mollasses (weird i know with some light toffee, wood, espresso notes. The port comes through slightly (apparently aged for 8 months). Def adds a sweeter and stickier dynamic when compared to the Even More. Like this one.

Just not barking up my tree. Too smokey and bourbon combo and that overwhelms the character. I can see where some would enjoy... Not my personal favorite.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap @ Harry’s Hofbrau - San Leandro. Black in color with a thin layer of tan foam. Aroma is an interesting mix of roasted malt, ash, smoke, and jammy currant. A lot of vinous, dark fruit qualities, too. Sweet wine, some black cherry, and blackberry. Definitely get a boozy quality here. Light carbonation but pretty substantial in terms of the body. A somewhat bitter finish with coffee, roast, smoke, and dark chocolate. Interesting.

Here it is... One of the best imperial stouts and the sweetness of the Port barrels add a nice complexity of stone fruit... Love it!

Was there a Jesus? Was there a More Jesus or did they just start with Even More Jesus? Crazy good imperial stout. Rich, sticky, head like a chocolate milkshake. Only thing close to a flaw is it is really sweet, but you’re not ordering imperial stout if that’s a deal breaker.

330ml bottle at home from trade with fonefan. Thank you Jan! Black color with nice dark brown head. Roasted malty aroma, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, dark fruits, sweet red wine - port, wood. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma but even better with some spicy notes and light alcoholic finish. Full silky creamy body with soft carbonation.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pitch black and opaque with a 1.5 finger dark mocha head that has very good retention, only slowly fading into a lasting ring. Streaks of soapy lacing left behind. Impressive for the style and high ABV.
Very vinous with a strong port barrel character along with dark fruit sweetness and dry oak that slightly overpowers the complex malt character of the base beer. There’s still a sweet and roasted malt presence with hints of burnt toast, dark cocoa and robust coffee followed by dessert-like chocolate malt sweetness. Nice port barrel presence but I prefer the malt crush of the regular version.
Full bodied with a strong port barrel presence. Dry and vinous with lots of toasted oak and sweet, vinous dark fruit flavor. Lots of grape, dark cherry, currant and other dark berries along with a prominent toast oak flavor. Underneath, there is a nice balance of roast and silky malt sweetness. Some smoke along with burnt malt, coffee grinds, oatmeal and bitter cacoa along with sweet chocolate and lactic creaminess. Pretty complex and the port character gives this beer another dimension but the barrel aging takes away what I like most from the base beer. Good but not as interesting or flavorful as the regular version.
