COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Few times in the history of craft beer it has happened that a highly praised beer rises beyond mortal stardom into a higher godly league. Usually the recipe to make such heavenly drops is thick fudge-like body, pitch black color, amazingly overwhelming aromas of chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and muscovado sugar, obviously only made in limited amounts and most crucial of all – it must taste rare!

Bottle. Poured black color with a moderate creamy light brown head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Medium to heavy toasted sweet chocolate malt with a small alcohol aroma. Full body with a creamy texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy balanced toasted chocolate malt flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of long duration. This is a standout beer.

Bottle. Pours a pitch black color with a dark tan head. Aroma is filled with dark bitter chocolate, vanilla, tobacco, coffee, roasted malt, burnt notes, brownie like fudge, dark fruits like raisins and figs, sugar notes and dark caramel. The flavor follows the nose and is fairly sweet, again lots of bitter dark chocolate, cocoa nips, tobacco, vanilla, roasted malt, coffee, burnt notes, dark fruits again raisins and figs, sugar, dark caramel and the brownie like fudge. The body is full with a creamy mouth feel. Overall all a great Imperial Stouts, one of the best Danish Imperial Stouts out there right now. I need this barrel aged!!!!

330 ml bottle. Midnight black, leaves oily marks on the glass. Aroma rich with coffee and dark chocolate. Very sweet aroma. Flavors included chocoolate, coffee, thick from syrup and burned malt. The burnt flavors didnt add too much bitterness, which is easily the case with stouts this dark. Palate thick as cream.

Pours pitch black with a wonderful brown, thick head that lasts awhile. Smells fantastic right out of the [way to small] bottle. Taste is sweet, alcohol isn't present much. Fantastic stout! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Shared by RasmusOtt. Pitch black with a reddish fade near the edge. Dark brown fudgy thick head, and when you whirl it, half an inch of beer gets glued to the glass. Thick as honney. Lots of caramel/chocolate malt in the aroma, but roast, soy, salt, figs, a little earthy and lots of other good stuff. What a mouthfull! Chocolate, dark fruits, port wine, roasty malt and a good bit of alcohol is in the taste, but what is really interesting here is the palate. It is so thick and massive. I don’t think i’ve ever tried anything like it! Really nice!

Pours pitch black with a dark brown espresso head and almost reddish edges. Wow. Aroma of dark bitter chocolate, roasted coffee, roasted malts, earthy feel, almost burnt fudge, burnt figs, weak salty liquorice, spicy feel to it and maybe fruit tobacco. Taste is huge dark rich chocolate, earthy roasted coffee, salty liquorice, spiciness, creamy oily texture, dark dried fruits, very weak soy, vanilla, actually a tiny woody feel and sweeter fudge cake. Alcohol is nice hidden and balance is just top. This beer does not get overly sweet or cloying in any way because of the intense roast!

Idiosynkrasie (3927) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - NOV 28, 2012
330ml bottle. Pitch black colour with reawakening, average, firm, creamy, lasting, lacing, dark brown head. Rich, complex dark malty aroma, liquorice, coffee, chocolate, leather, treacle, soy sauce. Taste is initially dry dark malty, bitter chocolate, then moderately sweet notes come in, treacle, chocolate, mocca; roasty notes in the finish - wrong: succession of flavours changes with every sip, oscillating intensity, enormous complexity. Only a touch of alcohol resonates constantly. Earns its figure of merit absolutely rightly.

Low carbonation. Rich, molasses taste but not hot. A little sweet for me. Reminds me of a better dark lord of the soul. Hint of oak chips. Strong chocolate malt flavors. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
