COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Few times in the history of craft beer it has happened that a highly praised beer rises beyond mortal stardom into a higher godly league. Usually the recipe to make such heavenly drops is thick fudge-like body, pitch black color, amazingly overwhelming aromas of chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and muscovado sugar, obviously only made in limited amounts and most crucial of all – it must taste rare!

Draft. Nice brew. thankfully not too much coffee. Nice lacing, thick on the palate. Glad I got to try it on draft as a bottle of it is expensive.

Acquired via Charleston Beer Exchange...amazing service! Orca pour (the onyx hue, clearly) with a small mocha head. Everything here is dark, gooey, chocolaty, and decadent. Brownie-batter forward with chocolate chip cookie, honey-baked biscuit, and salted caramel iced cream. Smooth, velvety texture. Incredible!

On tap at Ridgewood (Raleigh) Gloriously dark, with rich chocolate and coffee taste. Aftertaste slightly bitter. One of the better stouts I've had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The pour is black with a filthy speckled brown head. The nose is big roasted coffee, little smoke, chocolate, licorice and leather. The taste is high sweet and medium high bitter. Texture is multidimensional, with moments of softness followed by sharp crispness. Body is heavy and the finish is long.

Zeebra Extreme Beer Festival - Black, no head. Aroma has some surprisingly fresh, sharp notes. Flavour is peppery, spicy, warming. The combination of a sweet fruity background (port) and a dry woody finish is a good one.

Pitch black body. Very thick, chocolate body. Chocolate, cream, licorice aroma. Mouth filling palate, really rich taste. All of the raw goodness of the ingredients comes out here. Really nice. (ZeeBra)

Poured a very dark brown with a very small tan head. Aroma of bitter dark chocolate and roast caramel malt. Ful, heavily visocus body, flavour of the aroma with sweet dark fruit in the mix, the chocolate bitterness lingers.
