COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Few times in the history of craft beer it has happened that a highly praised beer rises beyond mortal stardom into a higher godly league. Usually the recipe to make such heavenly drops is thick fudge-like body, pitch black color, amazingly overwhelming aromas of chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and muscovado sugar, obviously only made in limited amounts and most crucial of all – it must taste rare!

22 ounce bottle into snifter, no bottle dating. Pours super dense pitch black color with a 2 finger dense dark brown head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, roasted malt, fudge, dark bread, raisin, prune, licorice, tobacco, smoke, light char, and smoke/roasted earthiness. Incredible aromas with fantastic complexity and balance of deep and intense dark/roasted malt and fruity/earthy notes; with great strength. Taste of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, fudge, roasted malt, dark bread, raisin, prune, licorice, tobacco, smoke, light char, and smoke/roasted earthiness. Fair amount of roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, fudge, roast, dark bread, raisin, prune, licorice, tobacco, smoke, light char, and roast/smoke earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity and intense robustness of dark/roasted malt and fruity/earthy flavors; with a great roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and extremely full bodied; with a very thick, creamy, slick, and lightly chalky mouthfeel that is incredible. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a world class imperial stout. All around insane complexity and balance of dark/roasted malt and fruity/earthy flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. An absolutely amazing offering.

The beer is near black and viscous with an inch of thick, beige head. The aroma brings bitter, dark, and milk chocolates, roast, vanilla, coffee beans, espresso grounds. Thick, palate coating. Rich and lovely. A delightful stout to sip and savor. Full bodied and smooth on the palate, finishing with a gentle warming heat and some bitter chocolate notes. Very nicely done.

July 1st Sunday. Super thick dark chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, bits of char, medium sweet. Booze is fairly well hidden as I am surprised to read that this thing is 11%.

Bomber from Riley’s in Madison while flying through town. Shared with ck1 and my other brother during family holiday weekend. Huge foamy pour (it was on its side for the bulk of a day a few days earlier) that left a great smell in the kitchen. Lots of fudge, some soy, espresso - very heavy roast with caramel. Quite rich, just as all Evil Twin, overpriced. 15.1

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours as black as black can be with a wickedly dark tan head. Nose shows dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted coffee and some vanilla. Taste is creamy chocolate, espresso, vanilla and a slight smokiness. Wow goes down incredibly smooth, can hardly taste the booze at all! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Shared bomber bottle with a friend. Poured dark Black with a fluffy mocha head. Bakers chocolate, caramel, roasted malts, plums, bitter aftertaste, hazlenuts, bitter espresso, smooth mouthfeel. Really a must try beer!

Bottle, Frenchman’s Cap with James and James. Totally black with a roasty-looking dark brown head. The aroma is heavy roast malts, dark chocolate, fruity (prunes, dates) and soy sauce. The flavour is sweet initially with molasses, dark dark chocolate, roast malts, a thick and oily mouthfeel. Molasses bomb. A salty bitter finish.

22oz bottle pours dark oil black with a finger of tan head. Nose is boozy, brownie batter, chocolate, dark fruit, coffee. Nice creamy mouthfeel but just a hair thin on the back end. Taste is sweet rich viscous bitter chocolate, roasty coffee, hershey syrup, double fudge brownie, booze. Finish is sweet chocolate syrup, coffee, cake, boozy, sticky.
