Clear dark dark black colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, light brown head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, caramel, dark roasted, dark dried fruit, light alcohol. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, roasted, dark chocolate. Good balance. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20120511]

Draft. A black beer with a lazing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate and roated malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of soy sauce, caramel, chocolate, roasted malt, and hops, leading to a dry, roasted, and chocolaty finish.

From tap. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is smooth roasted and dark malty. Smooth malty, caramelish and roasted. Caamelish. Sweet and smooth dark malty. Bitter and toasted malty finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a thick black with a tiny light brown head. Sweet chocolate aroma combined with thick prune juice. Rich, rich body, sweet roast, syrup and dark dried fruit. Some late coffee accents but never really bitter. Lovely. 030812

Bottled@Craft Beer Co, London. Reddish black colour with a small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, roasted malts, some alcohol and mild toffeeish and muscovado notes. Flavour is liquorice, sweet malts, alcohol, some burnt sugar as well as toffee and mild alcohol.

Draught at CBC 2012. Pitch black coloured with a small beige head. Sweet and roasted aroma of caramel and dark chocolate. Sweet and roasted flavour of caramel and licorice with notes of hops. Sweet and roasted finish.

Draft @ CBC 2012. Pours a black color with a longlasting tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and coffee aroma with weak hints of dark fruit. Roasted malty dark chocolate and dark fruit flavor with hints of coffee. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish.

Copenhagen Beer Celebration, 2012. Pours black with a creamy beige head. Very smooth. Chocolate, charcoal, coffee and roast. Full bodied. Nice.

(Bottle) Pours an opaque black body with a small brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, nougat, and dark fruit. Flavor of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, raisins, and caramel.
