4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen,
Pitch black color with brown head. The roasted malt aroma has a component of freshness, sourness, roasted nuts and chemicals that is very interesting. The mouthfeel is round and smooth, thick; very good flavor of roasted malts and chocolate, similar to my De Molen benchmark, very rich; there is a light acidity from the dark malts, firewood, and strong bitterness; moderate residual sweetness. It gets naturally more roasty in the end, where finally also the alcohol produces some warmth.
