COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Few times in the history of craft beer it has happened that a highly praised beer rises beyond mortal stardom into a higher godly league. Usually the recipe to make such heavenly drops is thick fudge-like body, pitch black color, amazingly overwhelming aromas of chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and muscovado sugar, obviously only made in limited amounts and most crucial of all – it must taste rare!

Bottle, thanks Trevor. Pure black pour, rich gorgeous pour, heavy alcohol and crazy red-brown head. Smoke, applewood, espresso roast. Big coffee jolt, big wood, sweet kick. Huge sweet-complexity. Thick, meaty oatmeal. Head reminds me of Dark Lord, and the body is nearly as heavy and rich. Red alc legs on the glass. Incredibly good

Shit dude! Pours black with a small tan head. Leaves tan lacing in spots. Nose of chocolate, roast. Taste is slightly sweet, massive milk chocolate. Roast on the finish. Body is ultra creamy. I have found religion again.

A: Alcohol. Roasty. Chocolate. A dry earthiness. A: Looks amazing. Black as night and thick, T: Lots of good standard stout flavors with a creamy backing. The finish is earthy which cuts through an acidity. P: A bit acidic at times and heavy but not overly so. Overall this is a really good beer. Lots of great stout charachteristics but the acidity really hinders it. The earthy finish offsets it a bit but it’s still there. Definately worth checking out.

Motor oil pour with thin dark tan head..looks great but disappears fast. The smell is roasted malts, tobacco maybe? And some sweetness. Wow a slight tobacco sweetness up front, lots of chewy thickness on the way down, no burn from the alcohol. A really great stout.

Pours pitch black with a brownish ring of head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, smoke, and hops. Taste is chocolate, hops, smoked malt, licorice, and soy sauce. Smooth and crisp on the palate with a long chocolate finish.

Draft. Nice brew. thankfully not too much coffee. Nice lacing, thick on the palate. Glad I got to try it on draft as a bottle of it is expensive.

Acquired via Charleston Beer Exchange...amazing service! Orca pour (the onyx hue, clearly) with a small mocha head. Everything here is dark, gooey, chocolaty, and decadent. Brownie-batter forward with chocolate chip cookie, honey-baked biscuit, and salted caramel iced cream. Smooth, velvety texture. Incredible!

On tap at Ridgewood (Raleigh) Gloriously dark, with rich chocolate and coffee taste. Aftertaste slightly bitter. One of the better stouts I've had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
