What makes a great leader? First of all a perfectly balanced blend of qualities, the ability to stand out,be authoritative without overpowering. Sho courage and endurance, you will lead the way and set the standards. Very important, be appealing and refreshing to the people. This stereotypical portrait applies whether referring to politics, religion or maybe even this outstanding IPA. -Evil Twin

Hazy pale peach gold pour with a thin, fluffy, soapy off white head. Aroma of citrus, stone fruit, floral and tropical fruit hops, some biscuit and toasty notes. Flavor is biscuit, cereal, sweet malt and hay on the malt side; floral, spicy, citrus and passion fruit on the hop side. medium body, slightly oily, creamy entry leading to a chalky + oily = slightly dry finish and a medium strength, sharp and blanketing carbonation. Good stuff overall, the aroma really wrote a check that the taste couldn’t cash, and after a couple drinks the aroma seemed much less amazing for some reason.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Pint Can from Platinum liquor Yellow straw color, bright white head. Good lacing and head retention. Nose and taste are pretty straightforward. Pine, grapefruit and citrus. good bitterness and does mellow out a bit. Clean and pretty lean IPA. Pretty straightforward IPA. Does the job pretty well for what it is.

Light smooth grapefruit smell...taste is quite bitter off the bat...but mellows a bit into a semi sweet grapefruit...less bitter with time...not too harsh, some depth, meh

Bottle at home. Pale yellow pour, thin white head. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits, some resin, slightly grainy and a bit of old hops. Flavor is bitter, orange peel, citrus and a bit thin. Not sure if this bottle is very fresh.

355ml bottle from Club de Cervezas. Pours a hazy blonde/yellow color with a big white fully-lasting head that leaves a good cap. Aroma is fruity, hoppy and phenolic. Notes of pineapple, mango, rose-apple, tropical fruit salad, mellon, alcohol and peach. Too much alcohol for my taste. Taste is bitter with fruity sweetness and a strong alcoholic layer that prevails in the end. Flavors of tropical fruits, green bitter herbs, some pine and a finish of alcohol. Again too much. Since alcohol overpowers hops, it’s a weird IPA for me. Big body, smooth mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Aftertaste gets some more pine into the picture. I wouldn’t say I dislike it, but I didn’t love it. It’s confusing and alcoholic. Bad bottle?

7%ABV. IPA. Poured out Amber. 14ºSRM. Mouthfeel was soapy. There toasted malt flavors. Hops were pine and pine sap. Finish was brief. This time round was pretty underwhelming, I find it hard to believe anyone would put out a beer this pedestrian. Will have to try it again...
