COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To take up the challenge and make a 100% true Brett IPA can very easily become a fatal attraction for the Brewmaster. Once you get acquainted with Nelson Sauvin’s fruity and seductive personality, along with Bretts irresistible, overpowering, alluring and very charming nature, it will ensnare you and drive you mad obsessing over how exactly you can create the perfect desirable tangy, funky, crisp, tart flavor in ya mouth.

Bottle, shared at Gilt in Chicago. Very hazy golden body, soapy white head. Aroma of peachy hops and light funk. Flavours are bright, nectarine, lemon, funky tartness. Quenching and extremely drinkable.

A yellow beer with a pretty decent nose and flavor. Sadly, I didn’t record a ton of notes on this one, but this is the score I took down.

[9/27/14] Draught sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2014 in Bodegraven. Hazy gold. Nice fruity hops aroma. Dry flavor, somewhat yeasty, with nice fruity hops and slightly “green” bitterness. Medium-bodied. Good and refreshing.

@ Borefts 2014. To me, this is exactly the same as the "yotzu", just with a pinch less citrus. Look at that rating if you want something useful... I’m out.

Borefts Beer Festival 2014. Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Malty aroma with grainy notes and herbal hops. Dry, malty and hoppy flavour with citrus notes. A rather unpleasant, sharp bitterness

Sampled draft @ Borefts 2014. Thank you! Review for Blanc / Yuzu / Sudachi / Kabosu versions. Blanc: Hazy golden, creamy white. Orange, hay, citrus nose. No lacto in this one, decent hop & even more hay, litz zest but muted due to yeast. Okay but could be better. 3.8 Yuzu: Hazy orange, little white head. Nose is light citrus peel, malty. Taste is light iron, malt, yeast, light grass. Yeasty. Okay but bit dull bland & bland. Little citrus taste. Expected more, decent easy to drink beer. 3.7 Sudachi: Hazy darker citrus, white head. Most extreme one, almost vegetable citrus nose, light urinal Berliner lacto note. Taste I same lacto Berliner note, extreme, odd, floral, strange citrus peel. Murky body. Bizarre. Manageable but not quite my taste. 3.5 Kabosu: Inbetween Yuzu & Sudachi. Light clear yellow, white head. More pronounced citrus here, actual citrus, touch milky, yeast, Berliner lacto note. Taste is lacto, too much malt, citrus peel, bit odd. Tad milky body. 3.6 Overall, way below expectations for all 4.

Blond body, small head. Refined aromas, aged, Saison spice, white grapes. Drinking well, soft bitter only and a herbal edge ending. Perhaps a bit too difficult for its humble blond origins, but the aging did create a must try I think. It’s brewing in the post ipa hype world. (On tap at Borefts 2014)
