To take up the challenge and make a 100% true Brett IPA can very easily become a fatal attraction for the Brewmaster. Once you get acquainted with Nelson Sauvin’s fruity and seductive personality, along with Bretts irresistible, overpowering, alluring and very charming nature, it will ensnare you and drive you mad obsessing over how exactly you can create the perfect desirable tangy, funky, crisp, tart flavor in ya mouth.

Poured a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma of sweet, spiced citrus and floral hops. Medium body, flavour of bitter sweetness. some grapefruit and mango in there, quite refreshing.

Taste at Thirsty Monk during sour beer week. Intrigued enough to shell out the $$ for a bottle. Hazy yellow pour. Less in-yo-face than I expected. Nicely balanced between the funk and the bright NZ hops. Definite lemon and tart apple flavors stand out. Ends up being somewhat subdued- but in a classy way. Fairly dry and crisp. Pour was too warm so will have to bring some home and have a proper tasting.

Nice. Bretta very well integrated here. Hazy golden pour with OK head and lacing. Light bitter finish. Hint of citrus. Hood balance, and good stuff. Tap at Westbrook.

Bottle. Pours a hazy pale yellow with an orange hue and a white head that lasts throughout. Aroma has bitter citrus with a bit of dry funkiness and a hint of grain underlying. Flavor has bitter citrus with a decent amount of funk and a bit of sweet grains underlying.

650 ml bottle. Pours a hazy gold with moderate retentive head. Aromas of brett/funk, rubber, peach skins and a little tropical fruit. Flavors carry same though more intense and funky. A creamy, bretty, fruity, and full IPA. Very nice.

Sample at wild beer fest. Glad I was limited to the same here because this just did not work for me. Lots of vitamin and medicinal notes in the flavor. Aroma is a little nicer with some aromatics on the nose and some funkiness. Think there is something else going on here. This seems like there some extra yeast in here than just the Brett to give you all that vitamin flavor.

Draft to taster. Looks good; a hazy lighter lemon gold with white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells good too; fruity hops with a well-balanced brett presence and a nice, mild malt backbone. Tastes like it smells, but not as fruity, with a medium-bodied semi-dry mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

22oz bottle pours a murky, dark gold with some creamy, white head. Nose has a ton of yuzu, white grape, some soapy hop, some lavender, some honey. Flavor is very soapy, yuzu, a little dusty couch, flower petal, yeast. Creamy finish.

Bottle - Grass and lemon with a nice bit of funk. Cloudy gold with a nice white head. Funky farmhouse notes, some grass and light citrus. Light vegetal notes in the finish with some funk notes. Nice.
