Bomber @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours deep brown with large light brown head. Aroma is brett funk and spice. Taste is mild nutty roast with simmering brett with a touch of chardonnay barrel. Delicate nuances of flavours emerging through the high carbonated daze.. pine, cocoa, roast, white wine, chocolate malt. Definitely a beer to sip, savour and quietly explore.

Bomber. Shakespeares, Sheffield. Hazy, very dark brown. Huge, bubbly, collapsing, clingy, tan head. Looks great. Nose has a red wine, vinous thing going on. Some chocolate malts. Missus gets some smoked malts. I don’t. Hint of pine resin. And then plenty of Brett. It really fits in well. Sweet, chocolatey, hoppy and bretty. Taste is soft, roast bitter. Light sourness. Rich and foamy on the palate. Finishes long, roasty, hoppy bitter, with a nicely tangy, fruity sourness on the close. Silly drinkable. Lovely stuff.

Bottle, shared with Parksy. Very dark brown, lively pour with a huge bubbly brown head. Interesting profile-- dark and roasty with lots of barnyard funk and overripe tropical fruits (= piggy manure character). Really well done.

Black friday blackout. Probably my favorite I have had so far. A nice black ipa flavor.

650ml bottle pours black in color with a 3 finger beige head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is roasted grains with brettanomyces and a citrus. Taste is a roasted grain and citrus hop bitterness with a light fruity and malty sweetness finishing with a dry lemon tartness. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, an interesting brew for the style with the tartness adding to the IPA. I guess if bretts are used properly I can find a home for them in my palate range.

Very enjoyable despite being a bit of an oddball. Pours a dark black in the body with a few hues of brown around the edges and a thick, almost creamy beige to tan head. The aroma is chalkly, minerally and earthen with a light smoke note, heavy brett funk that balances the roasted malt well. Hops are mild and almost seem lost in the buzz of brett and roasted malts. Sweet cocoa, light chocolate milk notes, roasted malts are dense, light vanilla, brett funk throughout the profile with a lingering farmhouse and funky note. Hops are lost again; the taste is similar to the aroma in this way. Peculiar mouthfeel and palate with a heavy body, light carbonation, slatey/chalky mouthfeel and limited bitterness. A new one for me...

With Z, pours a rich dark black color with a nice mocha Java head. Taste is rich ’ tart ’ malt with a nice confluence of hops. Taste is hoppy with some mild Brett. Finishes with heavy chocolate malt, some bitterness with a moderately long finish. Quaff Score 8 /10

Bomber. Pours Blake with a tan head and aroma of hops and citrus. Taste is bitter, with hoppy, citrusy notes along with roasted malt into the dry, bitter finish.
