Bomber. Pours Blake with a tan head and aroma of hops and citrus. Taste is bitter, with hoppy, citrusy notes along with roasted malt into the dry, bitter finish.

Dark, nearly black pour with a fluffy tan head. Aroma is sweet, a little different. Kind of yeasty? The beer is strong. Hops come in throughout. This beer has a Belgian kind of characteristic. It almost tastes plastic and synthetic. Itís a beer to think about.

Pours a hazy brownish black from the bottle with thin ring of tan head that leaves light lace. Aroma of musky funk over bitter roast. Taste follows, nice funky brett over good roasty backbone. Interesting, definitely something different.

This works, and thatís most of the battle when you are adding bretta to a hybrid style with an identity complex. Roast, light bretta and medium bitter finish. Pours black with good head and lacing. Tap at Scion.

Bottle. Pours black with thick tan head. Aroma of Brett, chocolate, lots of funk, a bit roasty. Taste is very funky, medium bodied, lots of funk throughout with a bitter backbone, high carbonation. Overall, nice.

Black with a thick tan head. Aroma is slightly sour and tart with roasted malt underneath. Flavor is reversed, roasted coffee up front with a touch of hop bitterness. Sour Brett comes out in the finish for a somewhat strange transition. Itís interesting, though almost like two different beers smashed together. Does come off more as a stout than a black IPA, body is pretty full and the hops are just noticeable. Wife: 3.8

Bottle during RBWG. Pours a dark copper with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is roast, caramel, and hay. Thin mouthfeel with earthy hop, roast, caramel, and strong brett, very good.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma is quite strong, with lots of roasted malt and some brett. Taste is first of a normal stout, with roasted malt, cream and cacao. Finish has a little bretty sourness, tiny touch of horseblanket. Not very hoppy, I would call this a brett stout, not an IPA.
