COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To take up the challenge and make a 100% true Brett IPA with Yuzu fruit can very easily become a fatal attraction for the brewmaster. Once you get acquainted with the Yuzu fruits irresistible and seductive personality, along with Bretts overpowering, alluring and very charming nature, it will ensnare you and drive you mad obsessing over how exactly you can create the perfect desirable tangy, funky, crisp, tart flavor in ya mouth.

Cloudy gold to amber pour with a 4 finger fluffy off white head. Aroma is loaded with fruity citrus, salted melon and some earthy funk. Flavor is like Belgian IPA meets citrus punch, light cereal, nice, mellow funkiness, a little salinity, tons of grapefruit and sweet tangerine-like sweet orange, finishing with light earthy, soggy wood funk and lingering sweet citrus. Light to medium body with a creamy entry leading to a juicy, but still creamy finish, light, blanketing and slightly sharp carbonation and a lingering mouthfeel somewhere between crisp and slightly chalky, dry. I really enjoyed this one, the best usage of citrus in a beer that I can remember, I really gotta try out one of these yuzu fruits. Unfortunately at $14/bomber, although I really enjoyed this one, I don’t think that I will be likely to purchase again.

Draft @ Himmeriget. Not my first time and not the last, an absolutely amazing beer, up there with Invasion IPA and Comet Rider as the very best Brett IPAs, a favorite style of mine. Nice thick and foamy head with heavy Brett, tropical fruit and yeasty aroma. Flavor follows the aroma, with the hops and Brett in perfect balance, with Yuzu adding a bit at the end and aftertaste. The best in the Femme Fatale series (although all are very good). Skål!

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a huge lazing white head. The aroma has notes of yuzu, brett, and malt. The flavor is a bit acidic with notes of yuzu, brettanomyces, caramel, and malt, leading to a bitter finish.

Bomber. Poured a clear golden color with a finger of quickly dissipating head. Aroma of citrus, a little pine, some biscuits. Tastes like grapefruit/yuzu with a fair bit of tartness and a bitter finish (a bit more bitter than I’d prefer overall). Somewhat refreshing.

Tap at Craft Islington. Peach aroma with light citrus. Can’t quite get the yuzu. Spritzy, nice. Maybe a bit full on.
