Did you also at some point in your life get seduced by promising words like ’probably the best in the world’, ’it works every time’ etc.? This American Barley Wine Ale says it how it is. It’s intense, attention seekingly hoppy, and definitely your kind of beer. A beer with a big ego, drive and a huge thirst for recognition.

Pours deep copper with medium tan head. Nose is really fruity. Aromas are caramel, toasted malts, red fruits, spicy notes. Average carbonation, oily texture. Long sweet finish. Very nice barley wine. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy amber color, thin white head. Lots of sweetness in aroma, heavy malts, red fruits, alcohol. Taste is... wow... what a sugar bomb. Lots of hops in finish but not even close to mask all the sweetness. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Obviously I cant stand this level of sweetness.

Bottle 0.33l from Hoppiness in Koper, Slo. Hazy red/amber color with peachy average head. Fruity smell, sugar, notes of herbs. Medium body, light carbonation. Sugar bomb, very alcoholy, could find fruits in it below all that sweetness, bitter in the finish. Extremely hard to drink. Ok when it is in the mouth, starts to be very unpleasant when you swallow it.

Bottle. A- Toffee, dark berries, butterscotch. A- Mahogany color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Butterscotch, dark fruits, medium bitterness. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, strong finish. O- If it wasn’t for all the floaties it would be a damn fine looking beer. The aroma and taste are dominate of butterscotch and dark fruits, mostly along the lines of raisins and dark cherries. Also a decent amount of bitterness. A very good beer but a few adjustments would need to be made for me to absolutely love it.

Big, intense barley wine. Loads of sweet malts, toffee, berries... quite an assertive bitterness. Lovely.

Dzeru šo malziet pa siltu. Gan garšā, gan aromātā gribētu vairāk intersitātes no barely puses, jo pietrūkst balansa.
