COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Did you also at some point in your life get seduced by promising words like ’probably the best in the world’, ’it works every time’ etc.? This American Barley Wine Ale says it how it is. It’s intense, attention seekingly hoppy, and definitely your kind of beer. A beer with a big ego, drive and a huge thirst for recognition.

Brown orange color with thin layer of beige head. Huge candied malt aroma with a pleasant hoppy malty aroma reminiscent of home brewing. Rich chewy texture with cotton candy malt, a fresh Hop syrup flavor accented with raisins and orange peel.

Yeasty, peanut hull, and oak nose. Hoppy orange peel accents are also there. Opache ochre, medium sticky yellow head. Boozy resinous flavor of overripe whole oranges and apricots. Full body and juicy. Quite nice, but what isn’t from Evil Twin?

750 ml bottle poured a clear reddish amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, raisin, grapefruit, light orange zest and light pine. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, floral notes, grapefruit, light orange zest and light pine with a smooth bitter lingering floral finish.

Dark red/brown liquid with a big creamy head that lasts and leaves traces. Aroma is sweet caramel and hops. Taste is honey sweetness and oak. Also some floral hoppyness. Great mouthfeel aswell.

Hazy golden brown with a pale head and a little lacing. Aroma is raisin, prune, quince, with a hint of booze. Slightly sticky mouthfeel, sweet at the start with a boozy bitterness on the finish. Taste is honey, date, caramel, hint of grapefruit. Not bad but a little booby. Erm, I mean boozy.

D’ampolla. Fosc de color marró. Nous, caramel amb panses en l’aroma. El sabor és de malts amb un munt de panses i malt caramel. Bona en la seva categoria.

from Erzbierschof - cloudy dark reddish-brown beer under a creamy beige foam; huge hoppy aroma, piney, quince marmalade; sticky and pretty thick, quite soapy and with a high bitterness; very tasty; long hoppy fruity finish with more piney notes and hints of almonds - a not very enjoyable hop soup

From a 22 oz bottle shared at home. Pours a hazy dark brown with an off white head. Aroma of bread dough and toffee. Deep hoppy notes. A little strange for a barley wine.

Bottle... Blazer’s low-key O-Town Throwdown 2012… Mostly clear burnt-caramel ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Great retention. The aroma consists of clover honey and loads of caramel with some nice floral notes. Full-bodied and chewy with gentle carbonation. The flavor delivers gobs of caramel and date sweetness flanked by rindy, tannic bitterness that nearly matches that malt bill. Finishes bittersweet with lingering bitterness.
