3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330 ml bottle. ABV is 5.5%. Possibly identical with Evil Twin Istedgade Hipster Ale? Cloudy golden colour, large white head. Strong aroma of fruity / citrussy and resinous American hops, catty hints. The flavour is very hoppy throughout, with grapefruity and resinous notes. The malts in the background are not too sweet. Bitter finish.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ Olympen. Hazy golden body with a decent off-white head. Aroma of citric fruity hops and hint of spices. Flavor is quite smooth malty, medium bitter and citric fruit with a hint of yeast and spices. Medium body. Nice, not to complicated or complex, still interesting in flavor and very drinkable.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ Gaasa, Oslo. At last! Grünerløkka has its own hipster ale - I’ve been waiting for this one a while. :-) Pours a hazy orange body with a medium white head. Nose is bitter pine and grapefruit, hints of skunky herbs and citric peel. Taste is bitter citric peel, grainy honey tones in the back and a stingy hop finish. Dry, with a light body. Pretty straightforward and drinkable. But is it hip enough? Only the hipsters can tell, but I’m guessing since hipsters dread being categorized in the first place they’ll probably frown at this. :-P

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, brought home from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Hazed gold colored body, under a finger of lacing near-white head. Fresh and subtle hop aroma; Tangerines, fruit-candy and orange-marmelade. Nice! Properly light-bodied. Easy on the palate. Nicely balanced, the fruity hops merges well with the subdued, light toasty malt body. A treat! Should easily attract most of the peasants (aka hipsters) frequenting Grünerløkka.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Schouskjelleren. Almost clear golden with a white head. Malty and fruity aroma with citrus and tropical fruits. Quite malty and somewhat sweet with a medium dry and bitter finish. Refreshing, but not my favourite Hipster Ale. (2012-08-02)
