Perhaps you heard of a worldwide beer-movement that tributes favorite hipster neighbourhoods across the globe. First came Istedgade, Copenhagen then Södermalm, Stockholm followed by Williamsburg, New York and Shoreditch, London accompanied by Trastevere, Rome & last El Raval, Barcelona. If you feel excluded because you’re hip but your city is not, this cutting-edge, ‘hip without borders’ pale ale is an homage to you – the global hipster. Cheers!

On tap at Beer Temple. Hazy deep golden colour, white head. Aroma of caramel, light citrussy hops, some sweet fruits, not very outspoken. Flavour is peach, malts, citrus hops, some tropical fruits, decent bitter finish. Light-bodied. OK stuff.

Poured medium amber with a dense off white head. Aroma of pine and floral hops. Medium body, flavour as the aroma, some sweet citrus comes through, bitter, astringent end.

Pours a clear golden with a thin white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of grapefruits and citrus. Taste is dry-ish with a good and clean bitterness. Flavors of somewhat dank hops, slight caramel and a little fruits. Body is light, carbonation is medium. Not bad at all, not sure how fresh this sample was though.

Enjoyed at the 4de Gents Bierfestival, 2013. The 33cl can pours with an opaque deep gold to copper body that supports a near white head of foam. The aroma offers up sweet malts, apricot, tangerine and then sort of a malty cereal note toward the end of the draw. The taste is smooth and rich and has a tremendous hop mix I’m really digging. I get citrus hops that grow into tasty earthy tea to midway. There really isn’t much else going on but there doesn’t need to be anything else. Nice Pale

Cannette @ 4de Gentse Bierfestival.

33 cl. can sampled @ GBF 2013. Bright orange with a white head. Light fruity USA citrus hops in the nose, mellow and on the sweeter side juicy hops, quite fruity, grapefruit, oranges,… Taste is sweet peach, oranges, touch exotic fruits, light citrus, mellow yeast, light bitter finish, light grapefruit bitter, touch flowers. Super easy to drink. In a can this makes one hell of a summer beer. I still do not like nor care for hipsters. Thx! to the RB Crew for sharing.
