Perhaps you heard of a worldwide beer-movement that tributes favorite hipster neighbourhoods across the globe. First came Istedgade, Copenhagen then Södermalm, Stockholm followed by Williamsburg, New York and Shoreditch, London accompanied by Trastevere, Rome & last El Raval, Barcelona. If you feel excluded because you’re hip but your city is not, this cutting-edge, ‘hip without borders’ pale ale is an homage to you – the global hipster. Cheers!

Can at home - shared with Mette. Cloudy amber - white head. Fruity hoppy, lovely bitterness, toasted malty notes, exotic fruits, some pineapple, light knækbrød notes, zesty notes. Lovely hoppy finish.

Can. Hazed amber with a fine off-white head. Hoppy nose of resin and fruit, malt and yeast come across as nutty pound cake and cake frosting and there’s a good amount of ambient banana bubble gum ester. Medium body, sugary with substantial bitterness, nutty in the way of Chinook hops, a little vitamin-like in the nose as it opens and to me there’s a touch of butter in the finish. This is IPA more than pale ale.

Can at Alko Arkadia, Helsinki. Pours cloudy amber with a little white head. The aroma features citrus fruitiness, pale maltiness and a touch of pine. Taste is dry and medium to heavy bitter – very hoppy, that is. Citrus is the dominant flavour but some maltier nuances appear too. The palate is medium bodied, slick and moderately carbonated. Trendy, hoppy APA all in all.

Pours a clear orange with a minimal white head. Fruity aroma with some earthy hops but not pungent. Flavor is tame and not impressive. A safe APA and an easy drinker, but forgettable.

Golden color, thick foamy head - kinda goofy. Some tropical fruit aroma. Taste is pine and citrus rind hops and some malt - not quite balanced, but close. Good, but not quite a favorite for me.

Golden body, medium head. Hoppy, modern but not too fresh and flower. More pine. Nice body, quite active carbonation making it refreshing to drink. Just only bitter enough though. It’s nice and modern without any fuss. (33cl can from Saveur Bière)

Hazy orange color with a medium white head. Orange citrus on the nose and a yeasty bitter flavor with some citric hop notes. Medium palate

From can, nice color and aroma: citrus & peach. Cloudy head. Hops smacks. A bit much at first. Balance is off. Becomes more drinkable at the half way mark. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(can, 35.5cl) Cloudy, orange-golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Bready (cara-)malty aroma with notes of fruity hops, including notes of citrus and grapefruit, also a tinge of resin. Mildly bitter and delicately sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a crisp carbonation. Bready malt character with traces of caramel, biscuits, backed by mainly fruity and slightly resiny hops, drying the brew out towards the dry and bitter hoppy finish with piney/resiny spice. Nice brew, lacks a bit balance. 22.IX.14

On tap @ Beer Temple, Amsterdam Netherlands. Golden to light yellow color, pretty clear, with a white head. Aromas is some caramel and malts, with citrus and lemon notes. Taste is pretty much the same, bittersweet, with some initial sweetness of caramel and malts, followed by a handfull of grass, pine, lemon and citrus notes. Aftertaste is bittersweet and prety long. Light to medium body with low carbonation.
