Perhaps you heard of a worldwide beer-movement that tributes favorite hipster neighbourhoods across the globe. First came Istedgade, Copenhagen then Södermalm, Stockholm followed by Williamsburg, New York and Shoreditch, London accompanied by Trastevere, Rome & last El Raval, Barcelona. If you feel excluded because you’re hip but your city is not, this cutting-edge, ‘hip without borders’ pale ale is an homage to you – the global hipster. Cheers!

Pours amber in color with an off-white head. Nose is decently hoppy with some citrus and floral aromas. Some light tropical fruits, a bit of toast, and quite a bit of bread. Bitter citrus peel and light pine. A decent amount of toasted malt and bread, some light pineapple flavor, grapefruit, and floral hops. Pretty decent pale ale, but at $4 a pop, not a repeat.

12 ounce can pours a light copper color with a bit of Haze to it. Fluffy white head that is thick and last a long time with some nice lacing. High-in carbonation with some upfront bitterness. A bit Piney. Very drinkable I PA.

A hazy, yellow beer with a medium and white head. The nose is fresh of citrusfruits, also some tropical fruits, lemon, oranges, mangos, some pine needles. Taste has citrusfruits, grapefruits, strong bitterness, sourness of lemon, pine needles. The end is dry and piney. Medium bodied, fresh and should be. Strongly hopped, citrusfruity APA, very good.

On tap at Czeska Baszta, Warsaw, Poland. Very nice thick white head. Aroma: Lemon zest, bitter grapefruit. Could be more intensive. Taste: dry, citrusy, a bit malty. Nicely ballanced. Very drinkable.

Can from Craftissimo at home. Hazy deep golden pour thin dense head and some lacing. Aroma is a bit bready and yeasty with a slightly dank pilsner-type smell. Taste is very crisp and very dry with some floral hops. Would be great for the beach.

Pours light golden with fluffy white head. Aroma is very estery with lemon citrus notes. Flavor is very unique. It starts out sweet, gets bitter, and then finishes sweet again. The bitter hops move like one giant wave over the palate. I have never tasted a pale ale that has quite the same flavor profile.

A golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with smooth floral hops, balanced. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with light floral and grassy hop, ok. On tap at Empire Brewfest 2014.

Can from Cotteridge Wines; hazy light amber pour with a big creamy white head, aroma is piney and a bit peachy, taste has a big pine hit quite resinous with some tangerine, grapefruit bitterness, some peach had some caramel sweetness, extremely enjoyable.

12fl can. Pours a semi-translucent golden orange with a one finger, off white head that leaves rings and a coating of lacing. Smells pretty good. Aroma has notes of citrus, pine, resin, and bread. Taste is balanced but hoppy. Pine, resin, slight citrus and tropical fruit, resin, and a drawn out, mildly bitter aftertaste. Medium body and carbonation fairly clean in the mouth. Very drinkable. Overall a good beer. Pine, citrus, resin, with a drawn out, bitter aftertaste.
