COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
“When I copied the famous Even More Jesus, I had to ask myself as an artist, why am I doing this? I didn’t honestly know. It was just an instinct about beer as pure form… in a sense this stout is like a metaphor for freedom - the sum of all the beauty that surrounds me and my perfect contemporary existence.”

[Bottle] Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is huge, with lots of anise, vanilla, and something a little strange that I can’t peg. Too sweet smelling, and that unidentifiable aroma isn’t great. Taste is anise again, vinous notes, and then bitter char in the finish. Good, thick mouthfeel with a long finish. Overall, a little too heavy on the char, but a decent beer otherwise.

Bottled. Quite much pitch black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is liquorice, chocolate, burnt sugar, some toffee and fudge along with some slight spicy notes and alcohol sweetness too. Flavour is sweet burnt sugary with some liquorice, chocolate, mild toasted notes as well as some fudge and very sweet malts and a quite sharp alcoholic sweet bite to it. Quite nice, but I’d prefer this one if it was just a slight bit less sweet...

Noire dense, petit collet persistant de mousse cremeuse. Aromes puissant reglisse, liqueur, chocolat. Chaleureuse, ronde et liquoreuse, amertume marc de cafe sur la finale qui devient reglisse en s’estompant

the aroma is caramel and chocolate with hints of vanilla, toffee, port, toast and dark fruits... the taste is caramel and fruity with notes of roasted malt, brown chocolate, toffee, red wine, toast, vanilla and dried fruits... sweet, dry and warming aftertaste...

[backlog] 06-11-15 // bottle at home. Pours a black colour, with a really nice medium sized beige head. Hell of a beer. So much power. Oily texture. Chocolate, coffee, some caramel, some cocoa. Alcohlic finish.

Sweet, dark fruits, sweet orange, dark fruit jam, chocolate. Slightly hazy, dark brown, small, creamy, beige head. Medium bitter. Dark chocolate, cacao, bitter sweet chocolate, charcoal, dry bitterness intensifies, soft carbonation, full bodied. Very nice Imperial Stout, very complex throughout. Keg at Sugar Maple, Milwaukee.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2016 On tap at eleszto. Very dark brown colour good lightbrown microfoam. Nose is loads of molasses light coffee. Omg. Taste is medium high sweetness, low bitterness. Definitive booze. Smooth mouthfeel. Like a cafe con leche as my mother would drink it. Would say its a sweet stout but i love those. Just a little bit too sweet.

Very sweet and dry and a bit difficult to drink. Lots of dark chocolate with vanilla, liquorice and coffee. Intensely full of chocolate flavour. Perhaps a bit too intense as it needs to be sipped slowly. But good to push the boundaries.
