Wow, pretty incredible stuff. Black pour, thick brown head. Huge chocolate, vanilla, and bourbon on the nose. Taste is big vanilla and doughy chocolate cookie. So smooth, thick mouthfeel.

22 oz bottle shared by Huhzubendah, many thanks Matt! Pours an opaque black with light barely passing on the rim. A wisp of tan head lingers on the meniscus. Aroma is massive and overwhelming - roasted malt, oak, vanilla, caramel, slight coconut, and baker’s chocolate. Flavor is same, full bodied with sweet viscous mouthfeel. Chocolate, oak, vanilla, and a flavor intense enough to completely mask the alcohol. Full bodied, muted carbonation, and roasty bittersweet chocolate finish.

Bottle share. Thanks GothGargoyle! Brilliantly dark oil with a floating thick brown rope. Aroma is vanilla, lots of bourbon, chocolate, coffee. Taste is very bourbon-vanilla sweetness, and intense coffee bitterness. Crazy long, creamy, dry finish. Gritty.

Dark brown with a good sized brown head. Aroma is bourbon, chocolate, vanilla. Full bodied, syrupy mouthfeel, sweet and complex on the palate, hint of tasty bourbony booze on the finish. Taste is bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, biscotti. Yum.

Brown/black pour with tan head and lace. Aroma is huge chocolate, coffee, BB, and roasted malt. Flavor is sweet chocolate, coffee, nice abv warmth, and bourbonish. A touch of vanilla as well. Medium full bodied with good carbonation. solid as a rock

aroma: cookie dough, toasted almonds, caramel and chocolate milk (bit similar to KBS on the nose--smells can be deceiving) appearance: dark brown with mocha head that dissipates quickly. taste: sweet chocolate and vanilla and alcohol burn dominate. bit of a red winey note in there, too. final note is bitter coffee and bakers chocolate, with a returning wisp of alcohol breath; not as sweet as I thought it’d be, but barrel presence isn’t as pronounced as I’d like it. palate: sticky, lively carb fizz on mouth. dry finish.

This beer is a winner. Pours black with brown big bubble head. Aroma is rich cocoa almond, toffee, vanilla, and cinnamon. Thinner then expected but super tasty with no boozyness and great rich sweetness and spicy barrel.

bomber, tons of rich rich roasty flavors, the barrel influence is moderate, a slow sipper for sure. Again, evil twin shows they really know how to barrel age a beer

Bottle. Pours like motor oil, inky black, dark as dark can be, with barely any head. The aroma is daunting ... rife with rich roast and chewy, dried fruit. This drinks with some really full flavor, but is surprisingly easy for 11.5% -- dangerously delicious. (#5602, 8/2/2014)
