Had next to Pappy Biscotti. Aroma of chocolate, bourbon, coffee, vanilla, fudge. Taste of chocolate, coffee, slight bit acrid, and solid caramelly bourbon. This was a little bit behind the Pappy verison which had more complexity and a lot more vanilla and almond to it.

Bottled. Pitch black body with a small, lacing tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocoate, vanilla, bourbon, coffee and licorice notes. Sweet flavor that ends up with alcohol notes and some bitterness. Medium bodied, oily to syrupy text. and soft carb. A greeat Impy. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Shared 22 oz. bottle. Pours almost black with a thick, creamy dark chocolatey head. Aroma is roasted malt and strong bourbon. Taste is roasted malt malt, bourbon, chocolate, caramel, oak and vanilla. Finish is boozy and malty. Very good, but maybe just a little too much bourbon. Might have been better if aged longer.

Aroma:bourbon, vanilla with underlying maltiness; Appearance: pitch black with tan head that dissipates to nothing; Taste: huge flavor that follows the nose; delicious and complex; Palate: heavy mouthfeel with long, sweet finish; Overall: quite excellent, although not my favorite imperial ever; would definitely buy again.

Beware the 12%!
