Bottle shared by portableparty! Dark black pour, little ring of carbonation and a strong bourbon and high end chocolate nose. Flavor is also really nice meld of Godiva chocolate, mildly aggressive bourbon and finished a bit bitter. Really nice and worth picking up at any price.

Pitch black with a khaki head. Nose is vanilla, wood, light alcohol, bourbon, chocolate great. Smooth palate, chocolate, vanilla, chewy malts, wood, alcohol and a great finish.

The beer pours black with a very small dark brown head. Low carbonation is evident. The existing head dissipates fairly quickly. Looks fairly thick. The aroma is full of rich chocolate and sweet bourbon flavors. Mild roast. Caramel, vanilla, light oak, toffee, fudge, dark and milk chocolate, cocoa powder. Mild booze, which just adds to it. Comes together really nicely. Taste is sweet. Tons more fudgey chocolate with perfectly integrated bourbon. Light fruitiness. Carbonation is low. Smooth, full mouthfeel. This is a really nice bourbon barrel aged stout. The stout and bourbon barrel flavors work together well very well. There isn’t too much of any particular flavor, and I like a low roast character. Great stuff.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out shitloads of bourbon barrels, vanilla, and cocoa – very complex. Flavour is very complex, with loads of vanilla, bourbon and cocoa. Very layered and robust, leaving cocoa and vanilla notes. The barrels add a wonderful element, but I still think I prefer the original Imperial Biscotti Break. Excellent.

Serving: Bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours an inky black with a robust head. Equally robust is the nose. Slightly boozy bourbon notes greet me with plenty of roasted malt, slight earth, dark chocolate, and a slight nuttiness. Bourbon, oak, roasted malt, vanilla, and earthy chocolate end with a warming finish on the tongue. Full bodied and delicious. Certainly one of the better beer’s I’ve had lately.

Une marre chocolatée, caramélisée qui respire le bourbon chaud tranchant mais sans frayeur tannique. Le liquide est tapisse, sans surprise, comme la régulière, à peine aminci par le vieillissement.

Wow, pretty incredible stuff. Black pour, thick brown head. Huge chocolate, vanilla, and bourbon on the nose. Taste is big vanilla and doughy chocolate cookie. So smooth, thick mouthfeel.

22 oz bottle shared by Huhzubendah, many thanks Matt! Pours an opaque black with light barely passing on the rim. A wisp of tan head lingers on the meniscus. Aroma is massive and overwhelming - roasted malt, oak, vanilla, caramel, slight coconut, and baker’s chocolate. Flavor is same, full bodied with sweet viscous mouthfeel. Chocolate, oak, vanilla, and a flavor intense enough to completely mask the alcohol. Full bodied, muted carbonation, and roasty bittersweet chocolate finish.

Bottle share. Thanks GothGargoyle! Brilliantly dark oil with a floating thick brown rope. Aroma is vanilla, lots of bourbon, chocolate, coffee. Taste is very bourbon-vanilla sweetness, and intense coffee bitterness. Crazy long, creamy, dry finish. Gritty.
