4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours pitch black, thick, mahogany mocha head, looks like a good one. Aroma is chocolate, espresso, vanilla - similar smell to a mocha at starbucks. Taste follows suite - dark chocolate mocha, dark fruit, vanilla, hint of oak and bourbon, booze hidden well. Nice chewy body. Reminds of KBS which is definitely a good thing.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. The pour is dark with a think lacing for a head. The aroma is more malt than anything, not much bourbon at all. The taste is all chocolate upfront. Still get very little bourbon, but still very nice with all the chocolate.

4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle-thanks JD. Pours dark brown with a sudsy webby tan head. Nose is incredible-this might be the best smelling imperial stout I have ever had. Straight up fudgey brownies. Not cloying or super sweet like the regular one. Flavor is nice--not quite as banging as the aroma, but still nice. Mouthfeel is also bossome. Silky, creamy, and ultra smooth. drinks like a 6 or 7% stout. I was very surprised by how much I loved this beer. Well done, jeppe or whoever actually brewed it. :)

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark red-brown, not quite opaque. Orange, dark roasted coffee, spice, sweet breadiness. Some vanilla. Basically smells like a chocolate molten cake. Sweet, with quite a bit of bitterness. Underlying malty sweetness through the finish. Not to terribly alcoholic tasting for 11% bourbon aged stout, reasonably heavy body, but not that big. Really well balanced, spectacularly interesting and well executed stout.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 oz bottle. Shared in 4 Elf Party line. The pour on this is a nice dark, dark brown, almost black with a darker khaki colored head and a decent lace left behind. The aroma on this is heavy on chocolate, with a beautiful licorice tone, and a strong presence of vanilla, presumably from the barrel. The flavor is much of the same. I was expecting a little more complexity in the taste, but it wasn’t bad. The mouth feel was a touch light, and the aftertaste was pretty delightful and lingering.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle shared by Bruce. This was stellar. Aroma of Evil Twin stout licorice, prunes, dark chocolate, and cappuccino with vanilla and oak poking through. Pours thick and black with a small brown head and beautiful wispy film. Taste is dark fruits, chocolate, vanilla, oak, cappuccino, and slight licorice. Just a wonderful complex stout with the perfect amount of barrel aging. This is a world class beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle; Pour is murky dark brown, with a one finger, fine bubbled dark khaki head into this glass ; it retains on the average side, with some light spotting present here. This brew is mild alcohol on the nose, presenting some barrel treatment here. Still, its still imperial stout dominant ; almond, bread, caramel, and chocolate morsels, with a bit of chocolate cake , I suppose. The flavor profile begins with mild dark fruit, cocoa, brown sugar with some bittering hops - it moves to some velvet cake and bourbon notes, moving to light vanilla and a nutty almond feel, with a long finish with a hint of booze at the finish line. Its terrific, really. Yet ; the barrel treatment has a subdued feeling that I think could have been more appealing if it were heavier.
