Bottle: Thanks, Jason. Oily black pour, not much head. Barely a tan ring. Aroma of milk chocolate, toasted nuts (though not *specifically* hazelnuts), mild roast, coffee, & some milky sweetness, a little brown sugar. Not much chili on the nose. Flavor shows a touch of peppery spice, though, but it’s pretty restrained & meshes nicely. Bitter chocolate, roasted malt, charred nuts, & some mild coffee beans. Just a small touch of balancing creamy sweetness underneath. Really nice, but I prefer the regular.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate dark chocolate, molasses, vanilla, hazel nuts, and faint chilis. It pours a dark brown with no transparency and a minimal head. The flavor starts with moderate chocolate, light molasses, and vanilla. The finish has light-moderate hazel nuts, faint roast, and just a touch of pepper heat. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation.

Bottle on the Brew Bus during the RBWG 2015 bus tour. Dark brownish black with light tan head. Aromas of caramel, dark fruit, milk chocolate, maple syrup. Tastes of dark chocolate, dark fruit, caramel, chili peppers, rich notes. Medium body with a full and dry finish. Still prefer the regular version but nice variant.

Bottle tasted on RBWG bus. 22oz bottle. Black color. Thin light brown head. Loose bits of lace. Wonderful nose. Dark chocolate, mild coffee, touch of chili pepper. Mild hint of smoke. A touch of oxidization? A mild pleasant kick in the finish that works great to cut through the sweetness. Bigger body. Kind of chewy texture. Lighter carbonation. Kind of slick. Moderate to bigger bitter taste, bigger sweet. Tasty stuff.

Bottle on the RBWG bus. Nose is chocolate with a light vegetal note. Nearly pitch black with a brown head. Wow. A chocolate, cakey flavor with a light nutty creaminess. Just a tad of heat on the finish. Real nice.

22oz bomber shared by Dan. Poured black with a small foamy dark mocha colored head. Aroma of dark malts, fresh diced chilli peppers, and a mild nuttiness. Taste is pretty complex. Black malts, dark chocolate, hazelnuts, vanilla, coffee, and hints of pepper.
