Aroma is cherry chocolate. Smooth a little acidity but very good. It has a hint of like stale dog poop or something. Looks ideal. Pours black. Amazing dark brown head with a tinge of cherry. Taste is not bad. Large acidic note in the middle takes a lot away. Boozy earthy and bitter. Acidy boozy finish. Maybe a little sweet cherry note in the end. Sits heavy but finish is watery. Overall better than regular imperial biscotti break but not amazing. The hints of cherry are nice and a nice compliment but the base beer is not good enough.

Pours black with brown head. Medium body. Sour cherries, caramel, dark chocolate, salty flavor. Lots of bitterness from chocolate and cherries. Not as good as the imperial biscotti break bit still good.

Draft. Dark creamy chocolate, coffee, and sour cherry aroma. Black brown with a moderate tan head. Tastes like chocolate covered cherries. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Pours opaque brown, the head is dark tan but very brief and quickly evaporates to almost no foam at all. The aroma is strong, rich, roasted coffee; some sweet chocolate, some warm, boozy malt. The flavor is roasted malt and coffee. I don’t pick up on sour cherries at all, but something is definitely offsetting the chocolate in the aroma. Maybe the cherries are doing that. Regardless, this stuff tastes good.

Very dark pour some mid brown head. Aroma of tart cherries, choco coffee. Tastes sour cherries chocolate. Lighter notes of almonds woody bizarre celery and turmeric earthy flavors. Some grinds in the palate. Light sour drinking finish for such a big beer. Very interesting worth the $

Nice malty smell with notes of toast, raisins, and pastries. Taste is the same with some dryness and mineral notes to it. Medium body, medium carbonation, and mild foam.

Bottle. Pours thick like motor oil, pitch-black and capped with one finger of dense foam the color of cocoa powder. Muted aroma: deep espresso, molasses, dark chocolate syrup, a little marshmallow. Rich coffee and burnt toast flavor is followed quickly by cocoa and semi-tart cherries. A touch of vanilla as well. Tongue-coating, with mild CO2. The cherries don’t seem to add much to the basic Biscotti Break, and the coffee’s taken on a sharp, stale quality. I’m unimpressed.

UPDATED: APR 18, 2015 Pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma is rich rich rich mocha, chocolate, and maybe some faint prune. You can tell this one is substantial from the way the alcohol clings to the glass. Taste is coffee & chocolate. The malt richness starts changing in the mid palate to something a little more akin to carob or tamarind. A slightly burnt bitterness finishes out the palate. Well done, but no trace of cherry anywhere.

Bottle. Pours a near black color with a moderate brown head on there. Nose has some chocolate and roasting notes to it with just a hint of cherry on there. Taste is a bit sour with a moderate amount of cherry coming through, which I detest. Bleh.

Pours thick and black with minimal head. Aromas of cherry, sweet malts, chocolate, and cookie dough. Nice sour cherry, chocolate and booze. Smooth and very drinkable for a big beer like this.
