Aroma is cherry chocolate. Smooth a little acidity but very good. It has a hint of like stale dog poop or something. Looks ideal. Pours black. Amazing dark brown head with a tinge of cherry. Taste is not bad. Large acidic note in the middle takes a lot away. Boozy earthy and bitter. Acidy boozy finish. Maybe a little sweet cherry note in the end. Sits heavy but finish is watery. Overall better than regular imperial biscotti break but not amazing. The hints of cherry are nice and a nice compliment but the base beer is not good enough.

Pours a solid black color with a light creamy colored head full of bubbles. A sweet candy cherry aroma. A light chocolate coating with tart cherries. Very drinkable considering the abv. Still a creamy feel until the end. Good stuff. Only the second Iíve had so far of the series but I like the original better.

This brew pours an inky black color with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes gradually. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate, cherries and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of tart cherries, dark chocolate and roasted malt. The finish is black cherries and malt. Pretty good overall.

Tap. Black with small head. Amazing flavor. Toasty nuts. Light sweetness. Surprisingly light for the abv, but full flavored.

Backlog rating. Keg at CPK, London. It pours a dark brown color with a small mocha head. Aroma is big sweet noteas, roasted malts, funk wood, tart cherries, port wine, balsamic vinegar and raspberries. Taste is similarly sweet upfront and zingy with tart red fruits later, with notes of tart cherries and raspberries, wood, red grape must, port wine, vinegar and touch of alcohol. Quite full bodied with good carbonation. Overall, really good but a tad inferior to other variants in the series

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate chocolate fudge, lighter cherry (mostly sweet), molasses, espresso, and a touch of cream. It pours a dark brown, virtually black, with a two finger tan head that fades somewhat quickly to a thin film outlined by a thicker ring. There is some small dotted lacing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with light-moderate roasted chocolate, molasses, and burnt sugar. There is a noticeable, but still pretty light, sweet cherry that turns lightly tart in the finish and mixes with some light espresso and a touch of nuts. Itís medium-full bodied with mild carbonation and a slightly oily mouthfeel. Overall, itís decent, but not as good as regular Imperial Biscotti.

This beer has a smokey aroma. It is deep black with almost no head. It has a slightly sour taste upfront but then finishes with a dark chocolate aftertaste. Very well done indeed. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This one is right up my alley. Loads of roasted coffee, dark cocoa, cookies, cereal and light but noticeable tart cherries. Alcohol apparent in the finish but the intense flavors balance it well.

Bottle purchased from 7-11 Kittery, ME. Pitch black color with thin tan head, spotty lace. Aroma is burnt sugar, dark chocolate hints and coffee grinds. No cherry in the nose.

Dark chocolate and burnt coffee upfront with a good roasted malt throughout the sip. The cherry is here in a maraschino syrup kind of flavor. The alcohol is here but not too distracting, slightly creamy texture with a nice smoothness. Sweet? Yes but it makes a nice after dinner Strong Porter, well above average.
