Tap @ Mekong shared with HopTsing. Very dark with dissipating mocha head and moderate lacing. Smells like irish coffee. Tastes bittersweet. A little sharpness in mouth with a bitter roasty finish.

3.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Food and Friends in Philly
Pours jet black with a smallish tan head that had to be coaxed out and dissipated rather quickly. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, coffee, chocolate, almonds, brown bread, light pitted fruit, toffee, molasses, and a touch of alcohol. Really great nose on this one! The flavor is diabetes inducing sweetness. Lots of smokey syrupy molasses caramel and brown sugar up front. The coffee cuts through the sweetness as does the tart fruitiness and a touch of alcohol. Thick body with a minimal amount of carbonation and a sweet sticky syrupy mouthfeel. This is a huge sweet sticky beer, but it really does work for me. The nose is incredible here and Id love if we could shave about 10 points of gravity.

Bottle. Opaque black liquid with small to medium tan head. Aroma of vanilla, chocolate, coffee, biscuits, bread and raw sugar. Really, really good aroma. Tate is light to medium sweet and light bitter with notes of vanilla, chocolate and biscuit. Medium to full bodied with low carbonation. Really an excellent beer. Delicious. Very rich though.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is vanilla, coffee, hazelnut, chocolate. Mouthfeel is very creamy with vanilla, roasted almonds, chocolate, honey, marshmallows. Quite odd, but very good!

Draft at Mekong. Pours black with a nice tan head. You can literally smell the coffee from a foot away. Stunning levels of expresso in the aroma. It’s like they kegged Starbucks. An entire store in one keg. Flavor is a match. This is coffee and espresso. A bit of chocolate and vanilla play around in the background, but this is just really about amazingly rich coffee. Desert in a glass. Loved, loved, loved this one.

Smells like a cookie and chocolate milk. Espresso head on top of a deep black pout. Huge mouth. Chocolate milk in taste along with cookies and pine nuts. Some vanilla in there too. Thick mouth. This should be dessert, not beer.
