COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Roman Empire had a certain “je ne sais quoi” festive food culture, extravagant architecture and spectacular live entertainment. Some might argue the Emperors were brutal, mad and hungry for power, and the people vain when taking baths and working out all day. Listen – that’s still all part of the secret Imperial ingredient – keep it cool, clean, confident, arrogant and flamboyant. Forza Imperiale.

Pours a opaque black with a frothy brown head. Aroma of coffe+chocolate (Moka) and almonds. Taste is really smoth with the almonds coffe and chocolate. The alcohol is very well hidden. It’s perfect! Cheers!

650 ml bottle. Pours black with a moderate brownish head. Aromas of raisin bread toast, dried chocolate, vanilla latte, and heavily roasted malts. Flavors of rich coffee and cream, hints of dark chocolate, dried roasted malts, and toast. Dry, dusty finish with a bit of carbonation and quite a bit of alcohol.

Both sweet and bitter like coffee and biscotti with a faint mocha finish. Very dark and smooth with a light carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

65 cl. bottle poured in to a snifter. Pitch black with a dense, tan head. Sweet, roasted aroma with coffee, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, nuts and almonds. Taste is sweet. Full body with a perfect velvety, thick texture - perfect! Soft carbonation. Long lasting dry finish with chocolate milk and red berries. No sign of the 11,5 % alc. Soft. Excellent.

Bottle from Whole Foods. Pours a viscous deep black that hits the glass and leaves virtually no semblance of a head. There are a few bubbles and a brown rim around the glass. The aroma is nutty and has some anise notes. It does make me think of biscotti honestly. The taste has milk chocolate, some almond notes, overall nuttiness.. letting it warm a bit now.. some vanilla is now coming through in the aroma.. maybe a soft coconut nuance.. the taste is becoming more roasty.. and has more chocolate on the finish. Very nice. Can’t wait for the Cherry version.

Bottle served in snifter and tasted next to the Natale cherry version: As expected both beer look similar, deep brown near opaque with a lasting frothy tan head and spotty lace. The noticeable difference is the lack of cherries and the more pronounced coffee character. Leather, tobacco, char, earthy and herbal esters are the main tones of this beer. The taste is primary coffee, roast, and alcohol. A tad harsh and not all that complex really. Got one note very quickly... Boy it is amazing what the cherry addition will do for this, this is a vastly a lesser beer without it.

Tap @ C4, Odense. Pours black with a creamy beige head. Really smooth and dry. Roasted and bitter with lovely chocolate , vanilla and coffee. Mild ashes and a whiff of metal. Good stuff - without a question.

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours pitch black with deep tan head that holds incredible lacing. Nose is huge! Fresh espresso, roasted malts, dark chocolate and vanilla all come through. Taste is wonderfully smooth. Coffee is dominant as well as chocolate and finishes with a long bitter, roasted finish. Is like drinking a dessert. Fantastic! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at the parentals, with my dad. Pour is viscous, oil black with a small brown head and great lacing. Big coffee, cocoa, sweet milk chocolate, light vanilla, woody, earthy, lacto, coconut, and spruce in the aroma. Taste is sweet dark chocolate, coconut, espresso, caramel, rich earthy hops, lacto, and soy with a light alcoholic burn on the back-end. Syrupy mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Easy-drinking imperial, but one glass was more than enough for me.
