COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Roman Empire had a certain “je ne sais quoi” festive food culture, extravagant architecture and spectacular live entertainment. Some might argue the Emperors were brutal, mad and hungry for power, and the people vain when taking baths and working out all day. Listen – that’s still all part of the secret Imperial ingredient – keep it cool, clean, confident, arrogant and flamboyant. Forza Imperiale.

I’ve passed on this beer a couple times due to its price or availablilty. Shit... now I regret it.. This beer is big time, Peter Gabriel style. Huge nose of roasted malts and chocolate. Super black in color, with a huge khacki head. Tons of burnt roasted malts and coffee. Almost over whelming. Flavor follows the nose. Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate. All in a huge way with out one flavor over powering one. Just a big imperial porter, much like an imperial stout. Body is thick and oily. The twelve percent is hidden well but this is one big winter warmer beer. Sipping this beer on a cold night next to a fire would be ideal. Overall: A++ worth seeking out.

Very nice pour. Very dark with a dark chocolate colored head. As it settles the head becomes lighter in color and creamy. Top layer of creamy head stays around for the whole drink like a puddle of oil. Smells like pure smooth chocolate with a nice background of coffee beans. Big big chocolate taste. Very smooth. Also a roasty black coffee and brown sugar taste. Very good alcohol feel. Really good stuff. The look alone may be the highlight.

This one poured a dark brown with a beige head. Aroma was toroasted malt, dark chocolate, and smokme. Flavor was the same, a little sweet, but fairly dry, smoke, and burnt brown sugar. Good but not great.

Bottle; pours black with a brownish mocha head. Nice smells of coffee biscuits and toffee beautiful silky mouth feel. It was even better than I imagined it to be a fantastic beer and only got better and better as it warmed up.

Bomber format Black pour, settles black. Dark leather head that falls to a thick layer of film. Big ABV legs. Nose is hazelnut, coffee, dark chocolate, big roast, some char, and vanilla. Wonderful nose. Tast is slightly forward sweet but quite good. Sweet dark chocolate, hazelnut, kahlua, vanilla, and notes of dry and dusty oak with coco powder. Feel is sweet at first but finishes quite dry. Massive mother. Big time beer

Pours pitch black with a frothy mocha head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is of coffee with some chocolate and vanilla undertones. Taste is a nice balance of sweet and bitter with neither being overpowering. Creamy mouth feel, softer carbonation and full bodied. Awesome stout, really enjoyed this one.

Fantastiskt god.
