The Roman Empire had a certain “je ne sais quoi” festive food culture, extravagant architecture and spectacular live entertainment. Some might argue the Emperors were brutal, mad and hungry for power, and the people vain when taking baths and working out all day. Listen – that’s still all part of the secret Imperial ingredient – keep it cool, clean, confident, arrogant and flamboyant. Forza Imperiale.

Sweet, slightly syrupy, with with some roasty notes and strong coffee flavor. Has a bright tartness on the finish that seems to be from the coffee. Overall very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a thick black with a good khaki head and lacing. Aroma is big chocolate with some nuttiness, vanilla and a little coffee. Taste is sweet chocolate with some nuttiness and something like pie crust and mocha flavored coffee. Sort of like a chocolate covered baklava with a cup of mocha. Mouthfeel is very creamy and full bodied with a low medium carbonation. Finishes with a bit of sweetness. Borders on being too sweet but doesn’t cross that line. Rich flavors that complimented the s’more I had with it sitting around a camp fire.

On tap black with dark beige foam. Taste is chocolate and coffee with chocolate much more so. Smooth with good body starts and finishes well with no hint of alcohol. A good beer but for to my taste a bit to sweet, evoking a faint hint of chocolate milk.

Oily black pour with a 2 finger, creamy tan head. Arpoma of coffee, chocolate, roast, oily sautéed dark fruit, lots of nutty, toasty notes. Flavor is big on coffee, chocolate, roast nuts, nutty toffee, sweet dark fruits, dark caramel earthy notes and light leathery notes. Medium to heavy body, creamy to oily feel and light, but slightly sharp carbonation.
