The Roman Empire had a certain “je ne sais quoi” festive food culture, extravagant architecture and spectacular live entertainment. Some might argue the Emperors were brutal, mad and hungry for power, and the people vain when taking baths and working out all day. Listen – that’s still all part of the secret Imperial ingredient – keep it cool, clean, confident, arrogant and flamboyant. Forza Imperiale.

Feels more like imperial stout thou. Very fancy nose, quite intense vanilla, molasses, roasted malts, delicate cocoa, choco, bit licorice. Awesome beer, but comparing with Bible belt, feels bit thin. THou if you dont compare.. its awesome anyways Sweetish with light bitterness

Tap@Taphouse, CPH - pours black with tan head. Aroma and taste is roasted malts, light burntness, caramel, chocolate, nuances of vanilla on the palate, lovely balance of light roasted bitterness and smooth sweetness. Immense.

22 oz bomber. Poured nearly black, very little head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, and even a bit of almond (though that might’ve been the power of suggestion). Taste was malty, notes of dark fruits - surprisingly didn’t get many coffee notes. Heavy on the palate. A very good stout, glad I got to try it. Extremely drinkable for its high ABV.

Good times - bottle from the Nova, strong coffee and notes of nutty darkness abound.

Wow. Such depth. I would never guess the 11.5% alcohol. Sweet, cookie flavor with a slight cherry finish. Awesome.

On tap at BeerCraft. Pours black with a brown head. Vanilla, almond, sugar initially then finishes with chocolate and coffee. Well balanced between sweetness and bitterness. Tasty! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours Dark and black and thick with a thin dark tan head like Beer Geek Breakfast. Has dates, and Christmas cake nose. Soy sauce flavour on the back /top of my mouth. Big huge malts with dark chocolate and milk chocolate tones. Low roast coffee flavours, vanilla and dates, plums. multiple complexity with all kinds of delicious goodness..alcohol is so masked by the cornucopia of flavours that it is not apparent until you try and stand. Has wonderful earthy nature difficult to nail down. a fantastic beer definitely a competitor or "Evil Twin" to it’s MIkkeller counterpart. Simply delicious. Killer Stout.

On tap at Beercraft. Black with a rich light brown head. Iced coffee aroma, almond milk, cocoa, light roastiness, chocolate syrup. Add chocolate syrup to a vanilla almond milkshake and this is what you get.

Bomber->snifter. Black with decent tan head. A: loads of coffee and chocolate. T: even more dark chocolate, and coffee. Smooth, not too sweet. Lingering bittersweet aftertaste. Very good.

Pours a very dark black like oil consistency, with minimal tan head. Cocoa, biscuit, roasted malt, and even a little vanilla on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a nice roasty note. Very good.
