4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 SPDickerman (717) - Texas, USA - FEB 17, 2013
Pours pitch black with a super thin mocha colored fizz. Smells strongly of coffee and vanilla, and hints of almond. Taste is bold coffee and espresso with subtle vanilla notes. Medium-to-full bodied with a slick texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Evil Twin Imperial Biscotti Break finishes with an explosive amount of sweetness that never becomes cloying.

This beer is uncategorizable and spectacular. Dark, rich and sweet beyond all reason, the Biscotti Imperial is neither a stout nor a porter, but it is just as dark and rich. I swear I taste actual cocoa somewhere in the middle of this beer. Strong and most dangerously smooth drinking. If you see this beer, GET IT.

Bottle on 01/07/12
Pours pitch black with a small ring of light brown head. The nose is very chocolatey and biscuity with a hint of coffee. Love the taste of this one. It's like having a chocolate biscotti with a cup of coffee. So good.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 Mellonius (71) - Rio de Janeiro, BRAZIL - MAY 12, 2012
Draft at the Blind Tiger Ale House, NYC. Let me start by saying that this is one of the best beers I’ve had in my life... Poured in a big snifter, it looks quite impressive with its piano black, opaque color, and a thick, very creamy beige head that persists for very long. The smell is just superb, very classy mixture of roasted notes with sweet milk chocolate, biscotti, vanilla, some hazelnut and dark coffee. The flavor follows the smell and never disappoints. For such a strongly alcoholic brew (11.5!) it is surprisingly smooth. The mouthfeel is lusciously dense, almost oily, with a long-lasting aftertaste that adds just the right amount of bitterness to balance the heavy dessert-like flavors. This is a beer that you want to last forever in the glass. Awesome.

UPDATED: APR 25, 2013 Heavy body, brown head, black pour. Chocolate, oatmeal, vanilla flavor. Just ridiculous how, good this is!

Be careful when you open the bottle - the sample I got fizzed like nobody’s business! Strong aroma has a firm and mouth-watering overtone of quality coffee with hints of unsweet chocolate and molasses. It pours a rich opaque sable just a flea’s eyebrow above black. Flavor is just simply sublime - quality coffee, roast malt, licorice, hints of molasses and chocolate. Could it get any better? Full, smooth texture has a good fizz to it and leaves a finish rich in roast coffee, semi-sweet chocolate and licorice.

UPDATED: JUN 9, 2012 On tap at Brouwer?s Back in Black 2012. Pours black, with a burnt mocha head. Very pretty. Nose is a dream. Like seafoam candy, toasted bread, and deep, dark chocolate, with some espresso and maybe a bit of marshmallow. Dessert in a glass -- and the aroma is quite pungent. The flavor doesn?t disappoint. It has just the right thickness, and the booze provides a bit of balance while being covered well by that dessert-like sweetness. Just lovely -- one of the best beers I?ve had in a while.

Bottle I've been saving to share but decided to open tonight. Very glad i did! Dense, viscous black pour with an orange-brown head. Aroma of coffee and licorice. Taste is big time coffee and dark chocolate. This is so good. Well balanced and blended flavored. Slippery in the mouth. Roasted coffee flavored linger. I just had a KBS this weekend and I would rather drink this. FT KBS ISO Evil Twin Imperial Biscotti Stout!
