COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Roman Empire had a certain “je ne sais quoi” festive food culture, extravagant architecture and spectacular live entertainment. Some might argue the Emperors were brutal, mad and hungry for power, and the people vain when taking baths and working out all day. Listen – that’s still all part of the secret Imperial ingredient – keep it cool, clean, confident, arrogant and flamboyant. Forza Imperiale.

Aroma is sweet and alcohol, with an added molasses edge that puts it over the top. Color is thick dark brown, with a copper head. Very thick appearance. Taste is sweet and has almost a pepper element. Palate is a bit watery - thicker would enhance the overall.

On tap @ 10 East - Aroma - almond cookies, deep chocolate layers, vanilla, roasted coffee beans, soy sauce and alcohol Appearance - pitch black body, 2-finger creamy dark tan head, medium retention, light lacing Mouthfeel - full bodied, light/medium carbonation, smooth and creamy Flavor - roasted coffee, dense burnt chocolate, walnutty bitterness, vanilla, anise, and molasses Overall - a top notch stout/porter if there is one. Complex, full of layered flavors and aromas. A no brainer beer if there is one. If you see it, get it.

Deep black pour under a thin beige head. Amazing aroma with chocolate iced donuts and almonds with a gentle kiss of coffee. Lovely rich flavor with bittersweet dark chocolate, doughnut tones, a little almond and a sweet semi roasty finish. Incredible.

Bottle. Courtesy of James. Split with Vinnie, James, and Dave Rivera. Pours dark maroon brown opaque with a small, tan, fuzzy head. Aroma of pure almond butter, cookie dough, sweet, chocolate chip biscotti, and dark, dark chocolate. Mouth feel is velvety smooth, with some rich, earthy, chocolaty tones and a huge, sweet, slightly bitter finish. This is an insane brew, which tastes more like a cookie dough stout than a porter. This is prisine, and it tastes exactly like its namesake; biscotti.

Bomber to glass. Nice pour ended with a perfect tan head. Nose of coffee, chocolate, vanilla. Taste didn’t match up. A little like bitter coco.
