Tap at hops and pie. Clear dark brown with a small, brown head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, light booze, some dark fruit. Flavor is sweet vanilla, sugar, roasted malt, light coffee, chocolate and dark fruit. Medium bodied, smooth with some warmth on the end.

A great imperial stout. Not quite as good as their biscotti break, but very tasty nonetheless. Pours a beautiful thick black with a brown head. Smells of coffee, some milk and sprinkles. Taste is a bit hoppy upfront, with some sweet cake and doughnut, as well as lots of coffee coming in at the finish. Compared to the biscotti, it is not quite as milky with less vanilla and smoothness. But also a bit more complex, and shows more of the imperial heritage. Had in the bottle in Nova Scotia.

Bottle. Pitch black pour with a thick brown head. Aroma of coffee, sweetness, dark fruit, nuts and chocolate. Dark chocolate flavor with coffee and dark fruit before a creamy chocolate finish. Another stellar stout from Evil Twin.

On tap at Harry’s Hofbrau. Booze, chocolate, slight dark fruit, rich oil marry with balanced sweet malt. Black. Maybe some brown highlights. Deep brown head lingers beautifully. Taste is rich molten chocolate cake. Oily viscous mouthfeel with moderate low bitterness perfectly balanced. Finishes a little quicker than expected. Awesome beer.

Draft at the Sybarite Pig in Boca Raton, FL. Pours a black thick liquid with a dark tan thick head. Nice lacing. Aroma is...well....doughnut. Yup. That old fashioned non-iced Krispy Kreme doughnut. Aroma of dough, cocoa, vanilla, confectioner’s sugar, and cinnamon. The taste is similar but thank God it isn’t overly sweet. It just taste like those old fashioned doughnuts. Creamy texture, doughy finish. Probably one of the best stouts I’ve ever had. Delicious.

On tap at Westbrook, pours jet black with a brown head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, brown sugar and doughnuts. Tastes like a chocolate donut, cake, chocolate, brown sugar, chocolate and roast. Really tasty.
