Tap at hops and pie. Clear dark brown with a small, brown head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, light booze, some dark fruit. Flavor is sweet vanilla, sugar, roasted malt, light coffee, chocolate and dark fruit. Medium bodied, smooth with some warmth on the end.

Thanks to eaglefan538 for sharing. Poured in a red solo cup. Smells like chocolate. Lots of chocolate, some coffee notable. Really, really sweet but shockingly drinkable. Not sure how they did it. I’m sort of impressed. But a bottle split among 4 is about the right serving size.

The Sampler, Bushwick tap: Pours black with a brown head. Aroma is mocha, coffee, sugar, hints of booze, and some roasted malts.Taste was sweet, but not particularly cloying. Plenty of chocolate in there. I am not sure what about this beer was really about the doughnuts, but I suppose it was just the massive sugar and pastry feel. Coffee was there of course. Body was pretty nice. Overall quite good. Surprisingly drinkable.

Bottle. Pours very dark brown with fine, light orange brown head. Settles in minutes with minimal lacing. Aroma is nutty, toffee, toasted and lightly roasted malt, and coffee. Flavor is roasted, and huge chocolate up front, fairly sweet, fading into a coffee, caramel, mocha finish and a roasted, dark chocolate, and big caramel aftertaste. Soft carbonation, medium-full body, very smooth texture. Very enjoyable.

Been waiting to sit down and enjoy/rate this one for awhile now. I’m not sure what it is about these traveling beer gypsies but they make some damn good beer, however this one had a $16.99 price tag. 22oz bomber split graciously with the gf poured into a bomber. Pours a deep Brown almost black with an almond colored head that continues to lace. Aromas of creme brulee, yeast, faintest hint of green apple. Flavors of vanilla frosting, slight booze, dark chocolate, almost a milk Stout finish. I think the highlight is the velvety mouthfeel, so creamy and smooth, low on carbonation. Gets better as it warms up. Gf said she liked it better on tap, but I can’t comment because I didn’t partake. Awesome beer!

Dark, dark brown color and a tiny tan head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, booze and chocolate syrup sweetness. Taste is dark chocolate, some coffee, that chocolate syrup sweetness just in the background, a slight booze burn. It’s a bit too cloyingly sweet for my tastes, but it’s worth working through that to enjoy the other aspects. Medium bodied with a slightly oily feel. Yummy.
