4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz bottle about a year old. Pours black with a small dark brown head that retains well and leaves some lacing.
The aroma is sweet roasted chocolate malts with some dark fruit.
The flavor is sweet roasted chocolate malts and dark fruit with a medium bitter roast finish that is slightly ashy. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth low carbonation.
Overall, a nice dessert beer. I like the balance of sweet and roast and the alcohol is well hidden with some late warming. This is better than remembered after some aging.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Lilí B pours black as the hinges of hell but topped with a heavenly, dense chocolate head and Iím already thinking about a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The aroma is boozy, dark vanilla and very dark roasted coffee.
Thereís a dryness to the first swallow that seems to only be there to make ready your taste buds for the ensuing flavor that sweeps in like a tidal wave and coats the entire inside of your mouth with a sweet sticky brew.
Leather and tobacco are prominent in the flavor, with black plums chiming in on the back end. As the beer warms and the head fades, I run the liquid around the sides of the snifter and create another island of foam; chocolaty and warm with swirls reminiscent of the skills of an excellent barista.
The high abv is obvious, but the excellent match of flavor to aroma to palate is keeping this particular beverage extremely drinkable. An ashy finish, long and creamy is going to be with me for more than a short while after the brew, but the after taste is very nice.
Iím not thinking about vanilla ice cream anymore. Now itís Black Cherry in a bowl with Lilí B poured all over it...yes...

12 oz bottle, Andersons. Motor oil black; nearly none of the dark brown head and certainly no lacing. Sweet, light roast, chocolate, licorice, and subtle raspberry. Nice. And 11.5% abv? Never would have guessed.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled on 5/21/2014. Pours dense pitch black color with a small dense dark brown head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, fudge, toast, molasses, raisin, prune, licorice, dark bread, light smoke/char, and roasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and moderate dark fruit notes; with good strength. Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, fudge, toast, molasses, raisin, prune, licorice, dark bread, light smoke/char, and roasted earthiness. Moderate amount of roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toast, molasses, raisin, prune, licorice, dark bread, light smoke/char, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts and moderate dark fruit flavors; with a great roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and full bodied; with a very smooth, creamy, moderately slick, and lightly chalky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent imperial porter. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts and moderate dark fruit flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
BOTTLE 12 OZ.
Aroma is quite weak at the beginning, but slowly builds up as the beer warms up. Black malts, sweet and tart berries, and distinct fresh cut pumpkin. The flavor, on the other hand, is quite bold - a sort of a coffee and berry liqueur, not overly roasted, but way much vodka-like alcohol - they only downside of this beer.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Nose is rich, raisins, licorice, slight vanilla, brown sugar, booze, slight coco, a touch of cream. Taste is beautiful, smooth vanilla ice cream on the first sip, leading to smoke, hazelnut, emerging bitter chocolate, slight licorice, lots of cherry, fruit cake, latte, cream, a touch vinous / sherry in the back end. Lots of wood character over lays the body.
Mouthfeel is rich.
My only complaint is this is more stout than porter, but it seems churlish. An outstanding, complex beer.

Interesting and unique. Dark pour. Alcohol, orange, toffee, and dates on the nose. Deep fruit flavors, over-ripe strawberries, vanilla, chocolate. Very boozy.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Majority of 12 oz. bottle, consumed on 11-14-14. Iíve been cellaring this bottle for about half a year, Iíd estimate. Scents of chocolate, cigar and cigarette tobacco, molasses, and caramel. Slightly meaty or even fishy smell. Pours a dark brown with a small amount of dark tan head. Long-lasting but limited and sporadic lacing. Looks as it should, but Iíve seen hundreds of beers that look like this. Quite sweet taste features flavors of raisin, tar, burnt brown sugar, plum, caramel, and artificial raspberry flavored sugary gelatinous snacks. Burnt aftertaste. Full body. Lively in the palate. Some alcohol heat. Sticky. Difficult to drink. I have a mixed reaction to the palate effects. Overall, Evil Twin Lilí B is over-the-top. It is aromatic, flavorful, decent-looking, and has interesting palate effects, but, ultimately, it isnít very pleasant.
