Shall one compare thee to a fair beer, Not even this perfect porter before thou will do thee justice. Thou art more complex, brave and cunning. Thou have changed more than a brew will ever. Thou may be lil’, but thy mind is greater than words can speak and beer will ever taste.

Had on tap at Bittercreek Alehouse, next to Even More Jesus. Great. Less roasty, a little sweeter. Delicious.

Tried two bottles to be certian. No lacing at all, pours black as sin and twice as opaque. First bottle was so boozy it tasted like alcoholic syrup. Second bottle was more interesting, but the alcohol still dominated any other flavors, and could hardly smell anything. I like this style of beer, but this particular brew fell flat for me. In the interest of fairness, however, my neighbor, who loves bitter hops, thought this was the bomb. Surprising, because he doesnt care much for malty, heavy booze brews.

Draft at A&W. Has a decent toasted and nutty aroma. Flavor is smooth and a bit dry. The flavor is a bit weak on stoutly characteristics. The first glass I had had a nasty metallic taste, bartender replaced it but the new one isn't much better so I'm going to attribute it to the beer.

On tap at O’Shea’s Irish Pub. Pours black with a small brown head that leaves a fair amount of lacing. Aroma and taste of dark chocolate, heavily roasted malts, coffee, and dark fruits. Long finish of roasted malts and dark chocolate. This doesn’t taste like a 11.5% beer. I wouldn’t think this was over 6%. Alcohol is well hidden. Full bodied, chewy texture, average carbonation. Excellent beer!

Smokey aroma of dark fruit mash, soy, and alcohol. Closest in appearance to actual oil as any beer in awhile. Taste of bitter chocolate and spiked coffee. Full, creamy body like an latte, with spiked espresso of course. Like one of those frozen coolatta’s, only sub the sugar for soy sauce, and again, spike it. A punishing experience.
