4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours pitch black motor oil. Aroma is loads of vanilla, chocolate, sweet liquorice, matroshatte, burnt sugar, roasted malt, dried fruits, som red berries. Lovely aroma! Really smooth palate, taste follows the nose. No sharpness what so ever straight up softness and smoothness. Some warmth from the alcohol, a bit tingly, grassy, and some roasted bitterness.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours black with thin brown head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, and soy sauce. Wait, is this really a Porter? It feels more like a Stout. Oh well.... Flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate and coffee. Pretty heavy for a Porter but if Evil Twin says it?s a Porter than it?s a Porter.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours black into a snifter. Mocha head with limited retention recedes to hug rim. Licorice, caramel and soy aromas. Thick with dark chocolate, soy, anise, and resin upfront and through the middle turning to a latte finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 oz bottle. It pours very thick and black with a very small orange/brown head that shrinks to a ring quickly. The aroma is very fudgy with some distinct fruity notes (mostly raisins and prunes). Very mildly roasted. The flavor reflects the aroma with lots of raisins, prunes, chocolate and some char at the very finish. Pretty sweet. Roasted character barely comes through with this one. This kind of reminds me of what Dark Lord tasted like. The palate is very thick and modestly carbonated. Alcohol is well hidden. Pretty tasty sipper, but not what I was expecting.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draught. Pours a very dark and thick brown with very little head. A little bit of roasted and sweet smells to it, but a very weak nose to it. The taste was really sweet and fruity, which is not want I want in a porter. I did not care for this one.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very pricey bottle (that im pretty sure was marked down a few dollars to $13) but I had heard several good reviews from some people I trust so I made the plunge. Definitely a dessert sipper here, but itís not overly cloyingly sweet like I half-expected. Lots of chocolate, some black cherry (skins and juice), light coffee, and light vanilla. Very good stuff, quite decadent, but I wouldnít want to drink more than 4 ounces or so at a time. Definitely not bomber to drink solo.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
651mL from Chevy Chase Wine and Liquor. $18 bottle, one of the most expensive beers Iíve bought at a store :0 Pours ink with a dense, sheen, mocha head. Excellent formation and retention. Small bubbles, thick. Nose is sharp white birch, balsa wood, cinnamon, nutmeg, hints of green olive and brine overpowered by white pepper, freshly chopped wood, some roasted sweet peppers. Taste is very dense and chewy, some lactic chocolate mousse, thick chocolate silk cake, creme brŻlťe, even lemon custard. Palate is very dense, ultra silky finishing with some sharp citrus sourness and lemon icebox pie. Woah. This is some good stuff. Very interesting with a medley of dark flavors that I donít think Iíve seen together before. Palate gets just a tad papery as it warms. But overall the beer is not heavy or sticky, almost aerated and fluffy given the abv and mega dark chocolate character.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
22oz bomber thanks to GT2. Pours opaque inky black. Thick, coffee head. Aroma is dark chocolate símores, cinnamon, rich and thick creme brŻlťe. Taste is orgasmic dark chocolate mousse, creamy dessert, whipped cream, crust. Mouthfeel is very rich, creamy, not sticky sweet. Nice bitterness to balance. Hints of sweetness with bitter cocoa. I love it!
