Shall one compare thee to a fair beer, Not even this perfect porter before thou will do thee justice. Thou art more complex, brave and cunning. Thou have changed more than a brew will ever. Thou may be lilí, but thy mind is greater than words can speak and beer will ever taste.

Bottle. Very dark flattish but good zippy bubbles. Plum, cola, tangy malts. Rich and full without being overly boozy. Smooth sipper alright.

On the patio during the latest monsoon. Beautiful dark with a nice tan head looks full and delicious. Nose is darkish chocolate and a bit sweet but restrained. Palate is roasted and very very sweet then ends with more roast and a coffee-ish dry finish. Tasty but might be better aged.

Aroma is chocolate, mocha and very rich licorice. Taste is a very rich dark malt profile that with hints caramel, molasses and roasty fig. appearance is a black body with a thin dark brown head that retains well.

Draft. Pours murky brown with just a touch of tan head. Aroma is boozy, barrel-y, and bold. Taste is the same. Just overwhelms the palate with the "hot" alcohol presence, woody tones from the barrel, and some milder chocolate and roasty notes. Not sure I could do more than a glass of this.

Bottle. Pours a dark deep brown with some reddish brown seethrough fringe. No head. Aromas of cocoa, roasted coffee, malt, dark sugar. Taste is pretty sweet up front, dark cocoa, coffee, dry bittersweet finish.

Bottle. Pours pitch Black with a small, Brown head. Aroma has pretty roasted malts, iron, coffee, chocolate, molasses. Taste has burned sugar, coffee and chocolate. Nice, Heavy roast, prominent sweetness and some licorice. Nice imp. Porter, but slightly boring. Nice Body, but maybe a little to much carb. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

33 cl bottle @ home. Pours black with a little sediment and a tan head that leaves some lacing. Aroma and flavour are cocoa, chocolate, roasted malt, and liquorice - with a smooth finish.

Bottle picked up from the Brewdog online shop, consumed at Isobels, Eardisley, Herefordshire, Friday 25th July 2014 Pours black, but its too dark outside for me to determine the colour of the head, a little chocolate. Easy drinking, smooth and alcohol shows but not too much. Its good but maybe not quite as good as Iíd hoped. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

A black beer with a medium and light brown head. The aroma is powerfull, roastiness, sweetness, hint of vanilla, some fruits, and also hint of alcohol in the background. Taste is rich of malts, salt liquirice, some overriped fruits, lots of herbal hops, roastiness. Powerfull and slightly boozy end. Full bodied, low carbonation. This isnít an easy beer but rewarding. Very powerfull, almost too much of alcohol but still enjoyable.
