Shall one compare thee to a fair beer, Not even this perfect porter before thou will do thee justice. Thou art more complex, brave and cunning. Thou have changed more than a brew will ever. Thou may be lilí, but thy mind is greater than words can speak and beer will ever taste.

Bottle. Black, nice frothy tan head. Chocolate dry soft sweet ashy, dark berry nose. Quite malty, definitely more porter- like than RISsy. Some ethanol shining through though. Blackberries, some blueberries too, quite alive, mashed fruits really. Malty dustyness. Med full bodied, smooth slick. A bit boozy, but not too disturbingly. Easy drink nontheless, soft bittered, nicely sweet, yummy. A quickly dissapating ísipperí.

Smell of black chocolate and roasted malt. Hint of alcohol In mouth itís very tasteful. Cocoa, anise and expresso. Aromas of dark berries give a light sour side. High abv is well-hidden. Medium/high roundness. Low carbonation. Bitterness is quite long and dominated by anise. Very good overall. Great complexity and well balanced.

Not sure if itís a Stout or a Porter. Thick and with a alcohol boost. Chocolate, toffee, banana, orange peel, cheesecake are the dominating aromas. Mouthfeel is thick like a cream. It has a fine fresh roasted coffee flavor to it. Itís also a bit too cloying sweet and difficult to drink.

Draft at Munich Tap House, 23rd March 15. This smells ok, a little boozy, however the taste is rough, overly sweet, sickly medicinal mess. Not much character to it and overtly strong ABV. Over rated, and a poor example of a porter

Dark brown-black body, medium to thin tan head, sparse lacing. Dark fruits, bittersweet chocolate, a little licorice, light roast, and a shit ton of syrupy booze. Full bodied, oily mouthfeel, with gentle carbonation, thick finish, sweet throughout.

Pours an extraordinarily dark brown with a short mochaccino froth colored head. Chocolate, fruit, and faint coffee aromas. Nothing "imperial" about the nose. Viscous and chewy. Metallic at the beginning. Man, I hope that fades as it warms. Fruit dominates, Cadbury chocolate, and faint coffee. Fruit expresses more at the very front and again at the finish.

12oz bottle. Dated about a year ago. Pours black. Just black. Small tan head, no lacing. Aroma is like a barleywine; also, banana and plenty of roasted malt. Flavor... wow. The flavor! It has everything. Roasted malt, banana, toffee, chocolate, slight sour funk, ash can, red berries. Body is substantial, mouthfeel is creamy, carbonation is fine and sharp. This is undoubtably the best dark beer Iíve had as of 3/19/2015, and maybe the best beer, too.

330ml, 11.5%, bottled Oct 2013. Black, small foamy brown head. Aroma is chocolate, red berry, raspberry. Body is medium, slightly foamy, tingly carbonation. Taste is soft toffee malts, tangy berry, sweet seaweed, bacon, ashy. Tasty and interesting.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a thick tan head that lasts. Aroma of roasted malt, dark fruit and bit of nut. Taste of roasted malt, dark fruit with nuts. Good bitterness and a dry finish. Full body, thick and creamy, robust character with very little hint of the 11.5% ABV. Very enjoyable beer.
