COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Shall one compare thee to a fair beer, Not even this perfect porter before thou will do thee justice. Thou art more complex, brave and cunning. Thou have changed more than a brew will ever. Thou may be lil’, but thy mind is greater than words can speak and beer will ever taste.

A black body with a tan head that had good retention but no lacing. Aroma had notes of chocolate malts, leather and alcohol. Flavor was initially sweet and although there was some nice roasted flavors alcohol seemed to dominate the flavor. Nice mouthfeel and a smooth finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 fl oz bottle @ home from De Molen. Pitch black color, small brown creamy average lasting good lacing head. Nose is rum and brownie, Aroma is dark chocolate, mild coffee, toast, red wine, soy sauce, alcohol is noticable. Taste light to medium sweetness, heavy bitterness, hint of sourness. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation, long lasting roasty bitter finish. Excellent dessert beer, bit too much alcohol flavor.

Very dark brown color with a dark tan head of 1/2 inch or so with a vigorous pour from a 12 oz bottle. The aroma is dark roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and booze. The taste is dark chocolate, some coffee, deeply roasted malt, some dark dried fruit and a bit too much booze....JUST a bit too much, this is an imperial after all. Quite sweet, but not cloying. This is an excellent beer that bridges the porter/stout boundary quite nicely.

Bottle 33cl, a dark beer with low head and carboination. Nose is intense on dark malt, dark chocolate and plum. Aroma is also very intense and complex, dark coffee, dark malt, sweet caramel, plum, fig, light oxidized, dry grapes, smooth body, alcohol is burning. Very long roasted aftertaste with cherries that were stored in brandy notes. Again a nice beer from this brewery but this one is a bit too alcoholic to be very pleasant.

12 ounce bottle. Dense black color with a small creamy tan head. Rich espresso malt nose has notes of prunes and smoke. Wow, what a huge wallop of rich decadent roasted bittersweet malt that greets you with first sip! So much going on here. Espresso and bittersweet chocolate are there along with currants, resiny hops and warming alcohol. This stout is complex and huge; nothing "Lil’" about this brew. Sticky mouthfeel and chewy finish. Not for the faint of heart. I loved it!

Dark as night. Black beer with cinnamon coloured smallish head and some lacing. Aroma has coffee, roasted malts, syrup and some berries. Taste has roasted malts, vanilla, coffee, some chocolate and fruits. Full body and low carbonation. With just a little bit better aroma this would’ve been near the 5 mark.

Bottle. Black pour with a mocha head. Sweet dark chocolate aroma, some subtle dark fruits and coffee notes. Silky texture and tons of chocolate, coffee and dark fruit notes, a hint of marshmallow. Hugely flavourful and just a touch boozy.

Black with thick tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, roast malt, bread, yeast. Taste is light sweet, really well balanced, bitter finish. Full body, thick oily texture, low/medium carbonation. Very good beer.

Keg at Craft Holborn, 27/08/14. Pitch black with a dirty tansville covering. Nose is big bitter roastings, dark chocolate, dark malt, spice, toffee fudge, booze fumee. Taste comprises much the same, big, bold, bitter and brashville. Full bodied, soft to fine carbonation, warming alcohol at the curtain call. Decent impy jobbie.

Wow, very happy I took a gamble on a single 12oz bottle of this tonight for Labor Day celebration. This porter they concocted is sweet, thick, and malty as hell. "Lil" surprised how sweet this is, but damn if I don’t like it! ABV is very well masked.

330ml bottle, pours black with a small head, aroma is chocolate, bonfire toffee, vanilla. Sweet but keep a hold of it with a bitter note balancing the sweetness well throughout. Body is medium, texture is slick and oily, Carbonation is soft.
