A clever woman once said; ’fair is foul and foul is fair’. On that note we threw in a young, unacknowledged hoppy pilsner, gave it a limp, wrinkly flavor and finished it off with an insulting high price that will give you a foul feeling in your mouth. That’s why we name Evil Twin Brewing’s Low Life the Golddigger of Beers.

Nice translucency, but typical pale fizzy yellow color of style. Nice foam. Not much smell upfront, but then something odd after that. Bready taste with more hops than expected. Different than the usual, but wouldn’t go out of my way.

Can. Hazy dark yellow/ochre with off-white large foamy head, slight doughy aroma, low carbonation, lightly bitter malty taste with lavender flavor, thin body, abrupt finish. Not a great pilsner.

Drank on tap (8 oz) at Tørst in Brooklyn on September 22, 2016. Honey gold, thin head. Sweet citrus malty aroma, light hoppy perfume. Hoppy crisp citrus taste, nice light maltiness, good bitterness. Way better then that High Life!

Had a bottle at Puu in Tallinn. Looked alright. Aroma of meadow flowers and honey, far from the grassy hops I’d have expected; tasted along the same lines, pretty sweet and flowery, a bit of grassy-ish bitterness. OK in good company. Not too memorable nor in-your-face, but quite different from a traditional Pilsener.

Sampled from a 16 oz can this beer poured a slightly hazy vibrant golden-amber color with a large billowing foamy yellow-white head that lingered forever and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet, tangy and yeasty with a bit of artificial grape. The flavor was tangy, sweet, yeasty and a bit phenolic with an artificial grape note. Long finish. Medium body and smooth. Not my style but well mode.

Draft 0.15l at Beer Temple Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 17.07.2016. Last farewell tasting for cika Jan. Taste with Zlotta and Potjebier. Pour it hazy yellow color with small white head. Aroma grainy, bread. Taste funky fruit feel, some grainy notes on the back, ok balanced, not typical pilsner, medium body, creamy, lively, abrupt.

Pours a semi clear straw yellow with a huge foamy white head. Has a fairly strong resinous aroma. Taste is crisp & smooth with some grain flavors and a little bitterness and dry in the finish. Not your typical Pilsner. The hoppy taste adds to the character making it pretty enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from Cork & Cask. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of lime, wet grass and herbs. Flavour follows the aroma - crisp lime and grassy hops. Medium body with a frothy texture. Soft fizz. A bitter, hopped-up Pilsener. Hoppy and lean and limey.
