On tap. Hazy golden with white head. Aroma grainy and crisp, flowers and citrus. Taste was surprisingly grainy and malty, loads of hops. Doesn’t feel very Pilsner-y, still pretty tasty

Bottle. Pours cloudy gold with fluffy white head. Nose and taste of bready malt, coriander, peach bread, citrus, cereal grain, light spice and dank lemongrass. Medium body. Finishes crisp and slightly bitter. One of the best I’ve had in this style.

Torst, NY tap ($4): Pours a golden colour with a white head. Aroma is grassy and piny hops: basically just a lot of plant matter. Taste is bready and grassy with a nice bready finish. Bready aftertaste. Pretty nice and sessionable.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle @ The BeerMongers... Poured clear golden with a thick, fizzy white head. Mild retention but eventually faded. Nice biscuity malt with some hop tones and lemon zest. Some sweetness towards the end added depth to the finish. At $2.70 a 12oz this is a great drinking lager.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
draft at Copenhagen Beer Celebration. lightly hazed effervescent gold body with a fine-bubbled white head. light touches of sweet honey malt in the nose with soft floral and clean soap yeast esters and a soft and balanced cascade hop fruitiness that matches the body and sweetness well. has striking cleanliness with wonderful support of malt body & acid with zingy and fresh yet modest use of American hops. I feel like so many brewers would overdo the Cascade with this type of pilsner in hope of making a more bold beer for fest-goers, one that in my opinion would have been out of balance and less interesting and far less enjoyable than this. 3.9/5
May 2013 bottle version from a store in DC: yeasty / eggy smell; bitter unripe citrus pith and rind hop character; starchy, grainy and husky; saccharine sweetness. bad shape. This is nothing like the draft version had last year in Copenhagen; this is raw, worty, sweet, bitter with no balance and hence no reason to drink. 2.2/5

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber into a fluted glass. Pours gold with a slight white head that leaves loose lacing. Citrus, grass, biscuit. Taste is biscuit, fruits, grass, a bit of soap. Would love a bit more of a dry, crisp finish. The sweetness makes things a bit sticky.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle, shared by Jay. Bottled 3/22/13. Nice clear golden color. Thin white head, leaves decent lace. Good sweet grainy taste. Light on the bitter, good balance in the taste. Medium body. Great, smooth lighter carbonation. Kind of crisp, with a lightly dry finish. Bready, light pepper, light bit of crisp lightly spicy lightly grassy hop, with some sweet grains overall. Wonderful, gimmick-free pilsner. This rainy spring day, I wasn’t in the mood for IPA, which is rare for me. This pils hit the spot perfectly. Crushable, easy drinking tasty brew.
